Removing whitewash off of red brick

Question

I have a customer that wants the whitewash lightened on their redbrick. I am guessing that the previous homeowners had it done pretty white, well now this lady wants more of the red brick to shine through. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I have 4gpm, 4000psi and hot water. This is a first for me I haven't ever had a request for this one.

Whitewash and strong 12.5% are not friends. Spraying all that brick down with a strong mix should melt that whitewash right off. Give it a try on a small area before you give up. I've removed whitewash before( without trying. Oops!). Use a Delevan or sureflow to apply it with. ds'ing won't be strong enough. I would also add a surfactant and maybe a bit of sodium hydroxide in with the mix.
