quick connect or twist connect

Question

I was wondering what type of hose connects everyone uses? When I bought some new hose they sent me "twist couplers". I'm used to using quick connects. The guy said one of the benefits would be that there isn't as much to go wrong with the "twist coupler". So I believed him, now I'm doubting that decision.

I don't even know what a twist connector is? Unless you mean threaded, ha,ha. Quick connects hold up very well, and are the standard. What type of hose are you referring to?

No, go with quick couplers,...apparently the person who you talked with has never done work in this field because there aren't any issues with quick couplers that would make screwing them together a better option.

Twist fast (22mm) connectors are the most safe and don't come apart if lodged against something that will disengage the collar.

On the other hand, QC connectors enable on the speed to change lances, tips and other accessories much quicker. Most who have the need to do this will use QC connectors.

The only draw back is the need to replace 'O' rings. No biggey though, just buy em in a 25 - 50 pack and an 'O' ring pick to change em with and you are set.
