I don't know if anyone will comment on this but I thought I would give it a shot anyway. I have noticed that a few of the local strip malls don't really have anyone clean their sidewalks or storefronts. So my question is, how would I go about approaching them in order to obtain their business? I don't want to go in with an outrageous number that they never consider me or a number so low I don't make any money. I guess I'm just looking for a little insight on what to charge or how I should go about figuring what to charge.

Do you know what it will cost to clean those places? How long it will take you? That should be the base for you to start on what you want to make. Nobody knows what you need to charge better than you.

There should be a sign somewhere on the property with the management company name and phone number. If you can't find that ask one of the store managers for the PM companies contact info.

Pricing for this type of work varies widely. Figure out what you need to charge and submit a bid. If you submit multiple bids and don't get any work you are too high.
