I have a supplier 5 minutes from my house and would like to be able to do this if I can do it SAFELY. I realize it is nothing to play with. I appreicate any help/advice. Beth n Rod 1,279 Report post Posted March 31, 2003 Earl, Sodium Hydroxide by itself is not the key. There are good products out there with other ingredients added to them that make it work. It's not about just the amount of Sodium Hydroxide....at all. Check out the Library forum. I added some new info yesterday. There are two things there you should read, one on Sodium Hydroxide, one on what happens when you mix the wrong things. You might also want to read 'Please Pass the Salt'. Personally, I would suggest you try HD-80 if you need a stripper.
