Post Construction contacts

Recommended Posts

Can anyone explain to me how to contact the people in charge of getting the house clean after it is built. Was thinking about getting into the complete post construction clean up inside and out. Any info would be great. just looking for some info on how to make contact what person to ask for stuff like that.

Thanks

Get in contact with general contractors in your area. They will probably have you send a letter or fax to the office letting them know what type of cleaning you are capable of doing and also that you are interested in making bids on their post construction cleanup jobs. If you don't know the good general contractors in your area swing by a construction site and talk to the boss there. They know all the major contractin companies in the area.

Thanks Matt i was goign to go thru the phone book and send a letter to all the building contractors

Call them too so you can find out who to have the letter sent to specifically. Talk to that person over the phone and see if you can meet them for a meeting to find out exactly what they need done for after construction cleanup. Some will tell you to just send a letter but to meet face to face can make all the difference in the bidding process.

Everyone here has some good advice on how to get 'in' with the contractors doing the remodeling or construction.

This is where pounding the pavement comes into play.

We have gone on drives specifically into areas that were noted on other occasions as we went through them and basically and introduced ourselves with literature and all.

This is a very important thing. Meeting face to face is better than a phone call.

These contractors have little time and will respect someone who 'shows up!' to get a job over someone who is taking up their air time on the phone.
