Brian Keating 14 Report post Posted August 17, 2004 I am building a 3 car garage and want to seal the concrete flood. How long should I wait after it is poured to seal it? Also, how many square feet per gallons can I expect? The floor will be 700 square feet.
charlie 14 Report post Posted August 17, 2004 What does the label say or if the answer isn't on the label call the manufacture. Charlie
Brian Keating 14 Report post Posted August 17, 2004 Charlie, I haven't bought it yet. Beth sells it so I was hoping she would respond. I was hoping to get a answer to the questions before I ordered.

Beth n Rod 1,279 Report post Posted August 19, 2004 Hi all, Paul, thanks for letting me know this was here. Rod and I just got back from a trip to see our new warehouse space in St. Louis. Regarding V-Seal, I'll have to ask how long after it is poured you need to wait until you seal it. I can tell you that it is applied to damp concrete, so you will give it a light wash first, then you will make sure there are no puddles, and then apply to damp concrete. I'll post again today later regarding the age of the surface prior to first sealing. Beth
Beth n Rod 1,279 Report post Posted August 19, 2004 When the bleed water is gone and it will withstand the weight of a man, typically 2-3 hours, you can apply v-seal. Then since you are in a cold weather state you will want to come back in 30 days after it has had time to cure, and apply a light mist again. Beth
Brian Keating 14 Report post Posted August 19, 2004 Thanks, Beth. I will probably be ordering some soon. As soon as it stops raining here they are going to start the concrete. That will probably be next spring based on the weather we are getting.
