mikejjmay 14 Report post Posted January 13, 2011 Hey all, I don't really know what to look for in a used unit. The PSI and GPM are in my range, but I don't know about this brand or condition. Any input would be great. Thanks! http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/grd/2155123786.html -Mike

mikejjmay 14 Report post Posted January 13, 2011 Is that a bad thing in itself?
All Surface 24 Report post Posted January 13, 2011 If your looking to do Profesional Pressure Washing on a Residential or Commercial level you will want to save your money and purchace a decent Pressure Washer and Hot box or a skid mounted unit that is gas and deisel powered. That is not the machine you want.
TNRoofCleaner 16 Report post Posted January 13, 2011 Is that a bad thing in itself? Where will you get the 230v of power for the motor? Ditto on what Larry says
chris francis 15 Report post Posted January 13, 2011 I would go with what larry says save your money get you good 5.5 cold water until to start off that work up to geting hot box.
Doug Black 18 Report post Posted January 13, 2011 I would not start lower than 11 to 13 Horsepower cold water. And hot water is not necessarily an upgrade....
mikejjmay 14 Report post Posted January 13, 2011 I realize a hot unit is not a necessity, but I am also looking to do ice dam removal up here in MN in the winter months, so would need a hot water or steam source. I suppose I could just get a hot water add-on box and add that to my existing unit (2.5gpm 3000psi cold) to use it as my ice dam machine. Any thoughts on the hot water add-ons? Are they a good option?
Scott Stone 604 Report post Posted January 13, 2011 I have used a hot box before. The biggest advantage is the budget aspect. The biggest disadvantage is running two machines to accomplish a project.
