dominicandave 14 Report post Posted September 10, 2012 I am looking for some help guidance on the pressure washing of my IPE deck. The deck has not been cleaned for two years and is grey. I have a Briggs & Stratton 2900PSI Washer. What is the recommended setting/tips for the job. Also I am looking for a suggestion on what chemicals to use in the cleaning process. We are in the Dominican Republic so there are no USA made products available so we probably need a formula for a home made cleaner. Any help would be appreciated
Adrian 155 Report post Posted September 10, 2012 (edited) I'm sure they have bleach and soap that are available in the Dominican Republic. The farther away from the wood you hold your wand the less pressure you will have. The closer you are with the wand to the wood, you will have increased pressure. IPE is a very hardwood. You may be better off just scrubbing it with a stiff brush and apply chems from pump sprayer. Then rinse. Then neutralize it with citralic brightner. Or hire a professional or use the search function on this board to get more info. Please complete your signature line. House Rule #1. Welcome to TGS.
