I have a customer who wants her patio furniture cleaned and stained with penofin oil (the vendor insists on penofin)
The furniture is made out of Brazilian cherry wood. It's two years old and never had a stain applied. I use restore a deck cleaners for most jobs. Is this cleaner suitable or should I look into one for more exotic woods? Do I need to sand? I'd imagine it being nearly impossible to sand due to the density of the wood.
Any tips for when I stain? Should I apply with a rag and maybe add some drying agents?
Thanks!
PS. This isn't what I usually do for work. I restore natural stone and the odd time I'll do a deck for a customer as I just love working outdoors!! This is an old customer of mine and I want the best results for her.
