Downstream nozzle has pressure?

Recommended Posts

Hello all. First time poster. I have a pressurized cleaner with a downstream injector. I noticed it’s not sucking. I tried to free the ball with a nail but when I did the water squirted out instead of sucking in

Yes I took it apart. And made sure it was clean inside. And yes it went ball, spring, then barbed fitting. Not adjustable.   I can blow into it and the ball pushes free. When I suck the ball seats and seals. It’s like the Venturi effect isn’t happening when put on low pressure

How about the chem line going to the injector?
Is there an adjuster valvle/knob on the machine (some units have them)?
If you rule out everything, what remains must be the problem. I gave up on downstream injectors decades ago because of this.
Not saying you should as there are good uses for it.

So got the new injector installed and it works great! So I looked at the old injector and somehow the screw in orfice? was missing. I didn’t realize it when I took it apart because I’ve never had one before.  Thank you for the help
