Hndyman55 6 Report post Posted March 1, 2020 Hello all. First time poster. I have a pressurized cleaner with a downstream injector. I noticed it’s not sucking. I tried to free the ball with a nail but when I did the water squirted out instead of sucking in 1 Beth n Rod reacted to this
Beth n Rod 1,279 Report post Posted March 3, 2020 You may need a rebuild kit. They are cheap but if you can, change from metal to ceramic. Also, is the spring still in it? Rod
Hndyman55 6 Report post Posted March 3, 2020 Yes the spring is still in it. Any reason why I could never get suction even when adjusting the flow to low pressure?
Beth n Rod 1,279 Report post Posted March 4, 2020 Can I assume you have taken the unit apart and cleaned out the ports? Ball should seat first, spring on top then the adjuster cap. If that doesn't help, buy a new one. https://www.pressurewashoutlet.com/collections/chemical-injectors Tell Tracy I sent ya~ Rod
Hndyman55 6 Report post Posted March 5, 2020 Yes I took it apart. And made sure it was clean inside. And yes it went ball, spring, then barbed fitting. Not adjustable. I can blow into it and the ball pushes free. When I suck the ball seats and seals. It’s like the Venturi effect isn’t happening when put on low pressure 1 Beth n Rod reacted to this
Beth n Rod 1,279 Report post Posted March 5, 2020 How about the chem line going to the injector? Is there an adjuster valvle/knob on the machine (some units have them)? If you rule out everything, what remains must be the problem. I gave up on downstream injectors decades ago because of this. Not saying you should as there are good uses for it. Hndyman55 6 Report post Posted March 5, 2020 the method for metering on this machine is a replaceable orfice on the beginning of the line. There are no clogs or kinks in the new hose 1 Beth n Rod reacted to this
Beth n Rod 1,279 Report post Posted March 6, 2020 I'll see if I can get a tech in the thread to help. Rod

Beth n Rod 1,279 Report post Posted March 10, 2020 Great. My source Tracy Handl from North American Pressure Wash Store was asking the same questions and the result would have been your action. Get a new one.
Hndyman55 6 Report post Posted March 10, 2020 I believe that’s where I ordered it from. Waiting on it to arrive.
Hndyman55 6 Report post Posted March 12, 2020 So got the new injector installed and it works great! So I looked at the old injector and somehow the screw in orfice? was missing. I didn’t realize it when I took it apart because I’ve never had one before. Thank you for the help 2 Beth n Rod and Bert Lorch reacted to this
