Chemicals (Airport)

Recommended Posts

Anybody out there run into the difficulties of cleaning roofs located in and around airports?

What kinds of chems help the most in removing that stubborn filth left behind by exhaust fumes?

Thanks,

Balázs

Jet fuel is basically highly refined diesel fuel. I would try a truck wash product designed to remove diesel smoke. Butyl based degreasers do an excellent job on burned on grime. May be worth a try, too.

Thanks Russ. The problem with butyl based cleaners is that they're not water based and hence they can't be diluted with water and I'm not planning on starting a soding business. :)

The butyl based cleaners work excellent for removing just about anything off driveways, trucks etc.......but in the case of a roof I have to take into consideration plantlife and the clients grass.

Huh? I dilute mine all the time depending upon what my application is.

Check where it says "solubility in water"

This is my butyl cleaner of choice.
