desi 14 Report post Posted March 3, 2005 If you are plugging a sump pump into a customers electricity for the purposes of redirecting water back onto their property, what is the best pump to use? One Tough Pressure 580 Report post Posted March 4, 2005 The sump pumps in vacuums are the same, but they will clog less as you will have a filter on the inlet of the vacuum. If you can keep debris out of a sump pump that is placed on the ground, it will cost you less in equipment and there will be less to cart around. For ground work, you will want a water sensitive sump pump as they are electronically controlled and will work without having to make a small lake that would be needed for one with a float switch on the side. One Tough Pressure 580 Report post Posted March 8, 2005 Home Depot sells one by Flotec. It will run around $150.00 out the door. Model FP0S1775A - 1/4 HP.
