high pressure inline filters

Recommended Posts

Anyone using the high pressure inline filters that are made for 3/8" lines? I am not referring to the smaller versions that go on surface cleaners and turbo's.

Since I am going thru unloaders like crazy, I am going to put this"Boss Hawg" filter after the pump and before the unloader. It will have a tee with a pop off valve just in case it gets full between my checking it.

They work great with no problems for me.I have one on my turbo and surfacer. About once a month I take them apart and clean them really good.

RLS,

Try this:

Just screw a 1/4" plug on the end that normaly screws into the turbo or rotary union. Attach like a normal nozzle and squeeze the trigger. This back flushes the filter without having to take it apart.

Alan,

Do you use any fittings that are not brass or stainless? You may be getting flakes of rust if you are. Galvonized or black pipe is really corrodes over time.

Why not filter directly at the pump infeed?
