Don Phelps 85 Report post Posted October 11, 2005 We were called in this morning to exterminate this organic experiment gone wrong. Some of the paint under all the mildew/algae had failed, but it cleaned up very nicely given the many years of neglect that it had endured.

0 Celeste 341 Report post Posted October 11, 2005 Euuwww - that looked kinda hairy! Cleaned up real nice though. Given the age, guessing that those awnings were painted aluminum? What was your recipe and did you have to brush on them at all? Celeste
0 Don Phelps 85 Report post Posted October 11, 2005 Yes, they are aluminum. The paint was oxidized and cracked. Citraclean/Chlorine/Water and a splash of Dawn for good measure. No brushing required, just 5-7 minute dwell time and a 1800 psi rinse.
