Pressure washer water temp

Recommended Posts

One of my pressure washers is a Craftsman 7 HP 2900 PSI (cold water).

I do not use it very often, but when I do, I hook it up to hot water; usually around 120* - 140*.

After doing this a few times, the pump is blowing oil out of it. I am going to hazzard a guesss that the hot water has displaced a seal or something which kept the oil inside.

First, am I right?

Second, is there some type of warm water cup I can add to this washer to allow the use of warm/hot water though it?

I learned this the hard way as well. Many years ago I washed the trucks at a meat packing plant. They had real nice free hot water so I filled my tank with it, after a few weeks the pumps started to fail.
