CSIA Certification: The Hallmark of Success

CSIA Certified Sweeps tm earn their credentials by becoming knowledgeable in the practice of sweeping and the observance of the codes and standards that pertain to chimney construction, maintenance and service.

Professional Chimney Sweeps gain CSIA Certification after passing a 100-question test that is taken with a CSIA-approved proctor or after attending a CSIA Certification Review. They must also sign the CSIA Code of Ethics. and follow strict new logo use rules.

The credential is good for three years, and then the CSIA Certified Sweeps tm recertify either by taking the test again or by completing 46 Continuing Education credits covering technical, communications and liability, health and safety, and codes and standards issues.
