Landa ?

Question

Hello Everyone,

I've been spending the last few weeks entrenched in the archives of this board and wearing out the search function button. You all have provided a wealth of information and I thank you, especially to Beth and Rod for providing this site.

I'm a full time Professional firefighter here in Virginia and am looking to get started in roof cleaning and houswashing, since I'm only working 10 days a month for the department. Already, I have visited an accountant and started the paperwork to form a corporation and am getting insurance quotes at this time. A search for a labor for learning opportunity will soon follow.

Right now I'm in the process of a purchasing some equipment based on the research that I have done on this board and I have run across a Landa PG-4200 cold water unit, approx 24 hrs use, that flows 3.8gpm and 2000psi. While the gpm is not bad the low psi concerns me. Bear in mind this is a starter unit and will be primarily used for housewashing's. Do you all think this unit is worth purchasing or should I shop around more, for a higher psi unit? Thanks for the help. Dewy

Matt, I love landaSkid. if your looking for a cold unit then i would but a cheaper model. Most of these units have the same components. honda general, briggs and so on.

I used cold water units when fleetwashing and i found the inexpensive units worked just as well.

I'm in the same situation as you, though I'm adding PW'ing to my window cleaning business. I already have PW insurance. In researching a CW Landa, I decided to go with the MP-373534 (4GPM 3500PSI) due to improved servicability (roll cage design access to belt drive; heavy duty inlet filter) and image (more "professional" appearance.) MP is basically a heavy duty PG...
