Acq Pine

Question

I have been asked to give an estimate on staining pre existing play sets. The wood is ACQ pine. The wood comes straight from the supplier wet and greenish due to the copper. After dring out it is a light brown. I saw one a year old that was not stained and the wood looked realy goood. I am guessing that the ones at home sites my have mildew or dirtier due to trees and folage. I am thinking about wood tux wet so I want have to make two trips. Any thoughts or suggestions about ACQ wood or the stain. I need a stain with little pigment as possible but still UV protectant.

We would clean it with a percarb and then neutralize it. We use EFC-38 to clean and then Citralic to neutralize with. Wood Tux would be a great thing to seal with, it will enhance the beauty of the wood offering UV protection. You can get them from ESI, contact Russell Cissell at 636-822-8512.
