Wood fence experiment

Question

Hello Guys/Gals, I would like your advice on my first wood experiment

The fence you see here is my own. Its about six years old an never been clean or seal or stain I wash it with a cleaner from Sunbrite Supply it seem to work as soon as I apply it

But I think it turn fuzzy on me. Tell me what you think

It looks good to me Daryl :cool:

What is the main ingredient in that cleaner?

The only thing i can see is that you could spray some Ox or citric acid to get rid of the rust stains from the nails.

Now as for the fuzzies there are times when you just can't help but to get them after cleaning.The wood being so grey"UV damage" and the age of the wood etc.so it's not much you can do to keep it from happening. When you stain the fence they are not as noticeable with a darker stain.It's supposed to be "rough" cedar so the fuzzies will give the stain something to stick to :)

Looking at that 3rd picture I feel like a peeping Tom or something trying to see what's in your back yard :)

Looks pretty nice, I have the same fence, only probably older and worse looking. It's been baking in the California sun for at least 9 years......I think it's beyond repair, but your pics give me hope....
