Beth n Rod 1,279 Report post Posted May 27, 2006 Snapped this pick on a job where we replaced a floor. This is a good example of CA leaching out of the new wood. Enjoy. Beth
0 seymore 90 Report post Posted May 27, 2006 I hate that stuff!! I have a 12' tall 2000 sqft arbor to stain in the next few weeks that has that beautiful green looking wood on it.I've been letting the arbor weather the last 3 months to see if that greenish look goes away. I've use oxalic and bleach on some greenish decks that kinda helped but it still shows thru the stain!Arghhh I changed the pic to a better one.
0 jquick77 14 Report post Posted May 28, 2006 What is that stuff? I had a front porch the other I did the other day, and I couldn't get the green out of 2 of the boards. I also tried brightner and bleach but it looked to me like the green was down deep in the wood. The wood was 2 years old and untreated. The rest of it looked great. 0 Beth n Rod 1,279 Report post Posted May 28, 2006 It's the pressure treatment in the wood. Copper Azole (CA). Beth
