Jeff 232 Report post Posted September 2, 2006 I just picked up my new open trailer rig. I have enclosed also I was wondering if any of you with open trailer rigs ever put something to protect the hot water skid from wind & rain. I'm thinking of having a diamond plate sheild if front of the skid and curve it over the top, like a wind damn? What do you think. I can have my welder come up with something good, it will just be the front and top, but it will stop a lot of the wind & rain from beating on the skid. When I'm going down the road at 60-70 mph the skid must take a beating over time JL
Don Phelps 85 Report post Posted September 2, 2006 That's a great idea, Jeff. Everytime we get caught in a downpour, the first thing I think is "What's it doing to my skid?" It was good to hook up with you and your employee. I'm glad you guys made it back home with no problems. Good luck with the new rig! :)

John Orr 206 Report post Posted September 2, 2006 Jeff, I had a vinyl cover with grommets made for mine. The trailer has pegs for each grommet that turn to lock the cover into place. Cost about $140.
