CLASSICPW 14 Report post Posted January 20, 2007 Has anyone had any problem with washing houses with hot water in cold weather? I've heard you can crack windows. It's never happened to me,but I've been hearing rumors.

0 John Orr 206 Report post Posted January 21, 2007 I never wash with more than 125 deg. In cold weather, I back it down to 100 to 110. I don't know about cracking a window, but I have heard of the seals leaking and the window fogging.

0 Roger Oakley 14 Report post Posted January 21, 2007 I guess another way to look at it is, would you pour hot water on your car/truck windscreen if it was covered in ice? I know I wouldn't.

I have never had a problem in 7 years in business. If it is cold enough outside for it to crack the glass then it is well below freezing and it is also too cold to wash.
