I never wash with more than 125 deg. In cold weather, I back it down to 100 to 110. I don't know about cracking a window, but I have heard of the seals leaking and the window fogging.

if the temp is too cold you will crack a window

it is not a rumor it is fact

hot water on freezin glass will crack it

I dont know the actual temp that it it starts at

I guess another way to look at it is, would you pour hot water on your car/truck windscreen if it was covered in ice? I know I wouldn't.

I have never had a problem in 7 years in business. If it is cold enough outside for it to crack the glass then it is well below freezing and it is also too cold to wash.
