It's displayed on an LED readout. It comes with a carrying case and a booklet that describes various woods and their ideal moisture content. http://www.delmhorst.com/products_wood.html scroll to the bottom Features: Microcontroller circuit for increased reliability and accuracy 12 bright LEDs — great for reading in direct sun light or dark areas. Gives the most precise readings of any LED meter available today Moisture content range from 6% - 30% Connector for an external electrode Industry only three-year warranty The perfect tool for a hobbyist, woodworker and home inspector It's a GREAT tool. It's what we use ourselves. Beth

0 reed 500 Report post Posted November 17, 2003 JustMe, I use the J-lite, and that is a good price that Beth has quoted you. Once you get one and use it, you take all the guess work out of wood moisture levels. there is a reference guide that comes with it that will give you proper levels for each species of wood. Get one.
