Starting out

Hello all,

I am starting to get a lot of requests to clean and stain decks. I have taken advantage of these BBS and have leared a tremendous amount. To get started, I am going to use a shurflo pump to spray on both the Sodium Hydroxide and the stain. This is a three part question.

1) What is the best clean up/rinse to keep my pump clean?

2) What is a good % for the Sodium Hydroxide per 5 gallon bucket for removing stain?

3) What is a good % for Oxcilic/Citris Acid per 5 gallon bucket for nutrilizing?

1. water

2. buy a pre-manufactured product and save on the liabilities. If you are mixing your own chems you become the manufacturer and are susceptible to severe penalties if not properly labeled and compliant or missing any pertinent msds. No biggey if you never get caught, but there is that potential.
