4running 14 Report post Posted February 24, 2007 I have a Landa machine with a horizontal burner. The coil is leaking, how can I tell if it can be welded? For example, are there certain parts of the coil that cannot be welded? Where is the best place to find a coil for a reasonable price? Is there anyone with a good used coil? Paul Kassander 26 Report post Posted February 27, 2007 it can be welded based on it's condition and location of the damage. You also need to have a 'good' welder do it or you will be wasting your time. In most cases however if the coil blew out it is probably worn to a point of replacement. pulling and replacing a coil is not a job you want to do very frequently. I can get you a price on the coil if you like just give me a call with the make and model.
4running 14 Report post Posted March 23, 2007 Thanks Paul- The deal ended up falling through, as I couldn't get ahold of him to pick it up after I won the auction. But I sparked an interest in him with fixing it. And he says he will call you on Monday.
