Acid Wash a Garage

Question

How do you acid wash a garage?, to get it ready for paiting. A customer ask me how much would I charge him to do it. It is a two car garage. First he ask me to pressure wash it, and now he wants to acid wash it.

How should I do it? Just some diluted acid scrubbed on the floor with a broom and then rinse it?

Thanks for your help.

You need to practice on your own garage first. The floor will need to be neutralized after, so the paint is not affected by the acid. You need to be careful with the driveway, so the acid does not streak all the way to the gutter, and you should be recovering that highly toxic potion your making.

If you are just washing the floor (or even etching) let the customer know that you are not responsible for the longevity of the coating. Concrete should be ground or shotblasted to properly prepair for an epoxy coating.

Guate,

Check out eco-procote. Good stuff easy to use and safe. I have been experimenting with it and so far love the results. Get the floor etch compound they have all the directions online and are more than happy to answer questions. Good luck.
