Beth n Rod 1,279 Report post Posted March 14, 2003 During the outdoor demo in Las Vegas at the PWNA, HD-80 performed as expected and ripped through 5 coats of Sikkens Cetol Dek, applied as specified by the manufacturer. Rod applied the base coat, then applied 4 coats of the Cetol Dek on top (two more than required, 3 is normal we did 5). EFC-38 also removed Wolman F&P, and Men-Wood with ease. Citralic was used to brighten the wood. A picture is worth a thousand words folks.... Look at THIS. Beth & Rod P.S. there were other vendors with "strippers" in their booths, but we note, none chose to demo their products! HD-80 was the ONLY chemical demoed. ;)

John T 744 Report post Posted March 15, 2003 HD80 is great stuff. On that board that you show one coat of stain, then two coats etc. down the board when you went to strip them with the HD80 did you use the same strengths of it?? Also did you let the Hd80 stay on the wood around the same amount of time for each thickness of stain?? Thanks P/S- Wish I could be there on the 22nd but my in-laws are coming over that weekend. Maybe next time.
Beth n Rod 1,279 Report post Posted March 15, 2003 Same strength (not even full strength by the way) on ALL coats. The 4th and 5th coats we applied a little heavier, it needed a second application. Beth :)
