Does ACR Products still carry the Decker 5'er? I have gone to their site and it doesn't show one. I have even done a product search on their site and it doesn't have one. If they still carry them, what is a ball park price?

Anybody have any experience with a Graco Mag. sprayer? I was thinking about getting one to use on restoring decks.

Usually RV antifreeze is premixed.

Thanks for the replies!

I would like to hear from those of you that have pressure washing insurance, and have used the insurance (where you would have been in big trouble without it).

AJ,
In reference to your questions, did you read that I use a 7 gal jug instead of a five, for my Xjet. I have tried 8-10 oz of SC and it doesn't seem to mask the smell of chlorine (12OZ WORKS MUCH BETTER). I am not sure exactly why I need 2 gals of 12.5%, but I am sure it has to do with the portioner that I use. My machine is a 5.6gpm/35oopsi rig, and this set up works great for me. Any less 12.5% and I usually have to reapply chemical several times to remove the algae.
I have been using this ratio all year and haven't had one complaint about killing plants. I water before and after everytime.

In a fiver, I would use 2 gal of 12.5%SH, 12oz of Simple Cherry(soap from ptek store), and fill the rest with water. You will have to play with your portioners to get the correct ratio with your machine. Some guys with 5.5gpm rigs don't even use a portioner.
Also Walmart sells a 7 gal blue container in the camping section for around $10.00 and it has a cap on it. Just cut a hole so the x jet hose runs thru the lid. It is a lot better than a 5er.

Hey Guys,
I have a church to clean and was wondering what you guys recommend for cleaning white brick. Most of the church is red brick and not bad looking mostly the white vinyl eaves are dirty. But I have a section of white brick on the front of the church, that is dirty looking and was wondering if normal house wash (simple cherry/12.5% sh) will work on it?
If not what should I use on it?
Thanks in Advance!

Hey Everyone,
I just purchased a hot box today. It came from the manufactuer with 1/2" female inlet and outlet. My question is what kind of fittings would you use (brass, steel, or stainless) to reduce it to 3/8" for my pressure hoses? If stainless, where would I get these fittings?
I was told that brass is only good upto 1000psi or so. Note my washer is 3500psi/5.6gpm unit.
Thanks in Advance,

Anybody use their Delevan pump to spray a sodium percarbonate cleaner on decks? If so, do the bubbles cause pump problems? I had a Pwer tell me that the bubbles cause his Shurflow to lose prime sometimes.
-
I would like to know why someone would use Soduim Percarbonate (efc 38 or restorer from envirospec) over using a true stripper like HD-80 or F-18. Is there any advantage using a percarbonate?
-
If you could only have one chemical pump for application of chemicals on both roofs and decks what would you choose (Delevan 5800, Chemical Bandit, or other, and why)?

How do you spray "9" up on the gutter? Do you have to use a ladder?

John,
That brush looks very similiar to the one I have and the pole holes look to be in the same place.

I just purchased a gutter brush, and I don't much care for the "c" shaped brush. It is more difficult to use than just a standard brush. The pole holes don't allow the brush to be positioned properly for gutter cleaning. It probably works fine on stacks.

Hey Everyone,
I need to purchase some stripper, and was wondering if there is any one or two strippers that any of you use, that seems to work on all finishes?
Thanks in Advance for your replies!

Paul,
Thanks for repling to my post. I looked for the power stroke chemical and only saw it under flat surface cleaner. Are you saying that this concrete cleaner can also strip sealers?
Thanks,

Another newbie question. I purchased some Envirospec Chemicals for wood restoration (Restore and Deck and Shake Brightener) from a local pressure washing contractor. He stated that these are the only two chemicals he uses for PT Pine. The question I have is the Restore chemical a stripper? Also what are your thoughts on these two products?
Thanks in Advance,

I have been looking for a horizontal, Portable, hot box and came across a Aaladin model (600), that looks really nice. Does anybody have any experience with this company, and specifically with this hot box? If so, do you know what brand burner do they use, and the size limitations that are on this hot box model?
Thanks for your replies!!!!!!

Hey Everyone,
I am seriously thinking about purchasing one of these rigs and would like to know if I can use toners, semitransparents, and solid color stains with these sprayers? I am just starting to get into wood working, and would like the best all around sprayer for decks.
I also haven't done that many decks, but the ones I have done were done with Olympic products (rolled and brushed). These products are easily accessible to me, and I have had decent results from them so far. Would there be any problem with these products and one of these machines? I believe most of the Olympic products are water soluble.
Thanks in Advance!
