  1. Sorry about the delay in getting these pics uploaded. Couldn't do it with the van loaded from helping Roger and Celeste finish their log home. The first is of the 2-gun unit at the rear of the van. The second is a view into the side door showing the tank, accessory drawer, hose reel stack and tool box. Third is of the winterization port between the tank and the pw'er. Rod

Thanks Mike, and thank you for donating. It is very appreciated. Beth
  4. Dino, Hot water and cutting back behind the damn with the water while clearing out the gutter trough and debris clogging the downspout. Will post pics later this afternoon of the Sprinter set up. Rod
  5. Mike, I love the set up. Keeps the unit out of the weather and eliminates a trailer are the two biggest reasons why I decided on installing it in a Sprinter. I can't say the idea was mine though. Another pw'er in the next county showed me his set up and I thought it was a great idea. His version was to use a 325 gallon barrel tank as the supply, two separate cold water units and a 3 stack hose reel set. I first had the same tank but put in a 2-gun hot water skid instead. Not much room left...about 80 cubic feet. Changed out the tank for a square 150 gallon version and placed a sheet of plywood on top with a hole cut for the access port. Now I have 125 cubic feet of space for all the rest of the supplies and a place to put a tool box, water cooler and room for accessing the back of the skid unit for any repairs. My service guy (Tom Vogel) hated it when I brought the unit in though because we had everything directly bolted through the floor and getting it out for service was tedious and time consuming. I came up with another idea which is based upon a set of 4x4's bolted through the floor and another bolted onto the skid frame and they sit side by side and have 4-1" grade 5 steel linch pins to keep them in place. Now, I just have to pull the 4 pins and out she comes on a forklift. I can take pics for anyone who is interested in the set up. Rod
  6. Who are your favorite sport teams???

Okay - who are your favorite teams for Football, Hockey, Basketball, and Baseball? (and any other sports you might like. I'll start. For football I love my Redskins and for hockey I love my Washington Capitals! Have not followed basketball in years, but was a Washington Bullets fan way back when that was their name. I guess they are Wizards now? I have never been a baseball person but I would pick the Orioles - Maryland team. Beth
  7. Who are your favorite sport teams???

I guess we'll see how they do this year. It is my hope that they learn from their mistakes and gather the consistency to follow through to the end with all the energy they can put into it. Rod
  8. Who are your favorite sport teams???

Let's go CAPS! That is all. Beth
  9. Looking forward to the event and seeing everyone there! Rod
  10. I keep my unit up until mid-December to handle any flatwork and house wash requests that may come. Since the unit is inside a Sprinter van, I can plug in a heater and keep the inside temps in the 40's. Thermostatically controlled. Rod
  11. Thanks Tom, We'll be here if you have any questions. Happy Thanksgiving to you as well. Rod
  12. We used to do Ice Damn removal as well. Cold work and a bit treacherous in the snow of yards you have not been on before and are trying to find good footing for ladders. God I hate getting snow down the back of my jacket... Rod
  13. Our season tapers off around ThanksGiving. December is not as busy. Jan-Feb are too cold. Start up in March. Rod
  14. It was great to meet you too Mike! We had a great time talking to you! Beth
  15. Just wanted to post an update about the PWNA Convention in Charlotte NC. It was a successful show and we enjoyed our time there. It was great to see people that we haven't seen in such a long time, meet new business owners and exhibitors. Thank you to all who came there to see us and we hope to see you again at the next one. Rod
  16. Is 3000psi 2.7 gpm enough?

The faster you work, the more money you make. The right equipment allows you to do that. Beth
  17. Each of us has one or more tool boxes of different brands and cool configurations. I thought this thread would be a great topic for us to discuss what we have and what is in them. I have several tool boxes (1 in each vehicle and 1 in the shop as well). Each contains: crescent wrenches Vice grips Channel locks flat and phillips head screw drivers a socket wrench set (some with ratchet wrenches) Needle nose pliers 'O' ring pick teflon tape flat file and rat-tail file After that is where I am sure things start to vary with many of us. I like two versions of tool boxes, 1 being the normal tool box with the compartments on top of the lid with flip open lids to allow quick access to the most used items like 'O' rings, QC sockets and QC plugs etc. The other version I have is a compartmentalized box that fits behind the seat of my F-150 with a clear flip-top lid. It fits almost all of the above in it. Whatcha got? Rod!~ ps, rate this thread.
  18. What's in your Tool Box(s)

Since this thread first started, I figure others may have added or altered their tool boxes and their contents. In mine, I also have a number of spare parts for the pw'er in case of incidents. -Pressure switch -Burst Disk and housing. -High water temp relief valve -2 pressure gauges, 1 before the gun, 1 after -Electrical connections kit (male/female connectors assortment) -Electrical Tape and Wire stripper/crimper tool -Spare tips (half a dozen for the occasional newbie syndrome losses) -Muffler U'bolt clamps Repair tools: -Crescent wrenches -Ratchet wrenches -Hex driver set -Gorilla Tape -Pipe Dope -Hex caps assortment for blocking off a line -6' of electrical wiring (16'ga) -Wire brushes (small, med and large) Employee designated supplies: -First aid kit -Saline eye wash bottles (2sm and 2 med) -3 pair; heavy duty nitrile gloves for chem mixing (lasts up to 10x longer then the regular nitrile gloves) -1 box XL nitrile exam gloves (for most uses including stain application) -1 box of XXL nitrile exam gloves -1 box of n95 disposable masks with exhalation valve (for most applications involving dust, chemical mist etc) least expensive. -1 box of P95 disposable masks with exhalation valve (for use during application of oil based stains with high solvent odor) most expensive. -6 terry towels for personal cleanup -Hand soap and GOJO hand cleaner -OFF! insect repellant -5 gallon paint strainer (laugh all you want but they keep the gnats out of your eyes) Anyone else got something to share? 19. Cleaning metal building

Wow...sorry I missed this one. Been busy but hey... A good house wash mix should be fine on a metal building, just cut back on the bleach and rinse well. Residue from the bleach that finds any breaks in the paint and gets to the actual metal will create rust. Rod
  20. It's a gratifying feeling to be able to go back and check on how a project is holding up and see what you just posted. We could see you put a lot of hard work into it and the results are looking excellent. Rod
  21. See you soon! We will be in the Cleaner Times booth! Beth
  22. We're glad you found them too! Great shop, great people to do business with. They care!!!! Beth
  23. I use auto anti-freeze concentrate. Not the 50/50 mix. (why pay for the water and get half the product, right?!?!?) Never had any problems with the pump seals. I drain and blow out all my lines and supply hoses so they have nothing in them over the winter. Rod
  24. Possibly a worn check valve. If it gets worse, the problem resides in your pump and would require new check valves and possibly new seals. Rod
