An Armstrong Clark deck....is a sweet thing in life!
Beth n Rod posted a question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Here's a pic of a deck we recently did. It's nothing fancy, or special, just a small postage stamp type upper level deck on a town house. But with the AC Semi-Cedar and Cedar Toner blended it sure looks nice! Beth :cup:  -

Beth n Rod replied to Aplus's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
WOW!!!!!! Hi Tony! Boy we sure have missed you. Try Armstrong Clark. We like it better than the VOC compliant version of TWP. Boy do I miss the old stuff....before the VOC requirements changed....oh well... Beth -

AC super cedar
Beth n Rod replied to bigchaz's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
When in doubt, get a board, wash and prep it, and try what Jim suggests. Apply RS, the put the AC on top, see if you like it. Beth -
Looks good to me! :) Beth

What the heck is this??
Beth n Rod replied to bigchaz's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
In my opinion? Yes. Strip, brighten, seal. When dry evaluate, then seal when ready. Sorry... Beth -

AC super cedar
Beth n Rod replied to bigchaz's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Not saying that at all. I am saying very specifically that there is an issue with applying it over OTHER installed brands. Beth -

AC super cedar
Beth n Rod replied to bigchaz's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
On really dry wood, AC absorbs pretty fast, you can hit it again and it's not an issue. In many cases when you are done with a first application on a dry floor, it's ready for more. I will add one VERY VERY important note here about applying AC over other curing products like WT....you really need to strip the WT first, or the AC cannot properly dive. You'll get drying issues. Given that, this would apply to going over Cabots ATO, Sikkens SRD or other Linseed/Tung/Alkyd types of things. Break the barrier. BOOYAA! Beth -
