Want to get started doing Professional Pressure Washing
Beth n Rod replied to Stevec48ul's question in Residential Pressure Washing
The solution depends on the surface you are cleaning and what you are removing. Can you pick a surface or job type? There is no one chemical fits all in pressure washing. Most of us have many chems for a variety of scenarios. Beth -

Nice work!!! What kind of wood was it on that deck floor you sanded, and what kind of fasteners? Beth -
Extension poles for gutter scrubbing
Beth n Rod replied to Dfloyd0106's question in Residential Pressure Washing
I only use the Long Arms for really tall houses. The rest of the time we use Sherlock poles 8-16'. The locking mechanism is more durable and actually uses a metal pin. The parts are available to replace anything when it breaks so you don't have to buy a whole new pole unlike the long arm poles that require complete replacement once any part of it breaks. Rod -
Armstrong Clark deck
Beth n Rod replied to Beth n Rod's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Thanks! That deck belongs to a great repeat customer of ours, he loves his deck. He used to hate it, and was very frustrated with it until he met our company. Beth- 13 replies

A sodium hydroxide cleaner and bleach makes the work turn out the best in my experience. Also, you may want to look into a surface cleaner to help it look even. Rod

Including gutters with house wash, or upsell?
Beth n Rod replied to gutterdog's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Including the gutters adds that little extra and keeps the rest of the house from looking like a lesser job. Most gutters come clean from just the housewash mix we use while some require a stronger application. Either way we brush them. Rod -
Use cold water. It will get hot on it's own as it activates. Use a large 35gal trash can. Rod

Want to get started doing Professional Pressure Washing
Beth n Rod replied to Stevec48ul's question in Residential Pressure Washing
I understand you are on a budget but consider this....the pump on many units sold in the box stores don't last long. My experience. They work well for light to medium duty in the range you posted but it would last about a year. Good enough possibly to get you through till you can reinvest in something with a better pump. Rod -

You can also click the banner on the bottom or my signature to get it. If you buy it off of my signature, I make a few dollars to go towards my daughters senior year of college. Beth -

This should raise a few hackles ...
Beth n Rod replied to RPetry's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Yeah but 123 is not meant to be the deck coating really either. Don't even start me on the Rubbol garbage. We have several SRD clients, the product works well for them and they are happy. We only have a few DEK customers we maintain, but they are on a meticulous schedule wiith us and know what they are in for. We do not install new DEK. Personally, I see nothing wrong with using an acrylic on the rails and a matching oil on the floor, it reduces the maintenance cost on the deck dramatically.Been doing it for years. Beth -

I would never buy a unit at HD if I could afford to get a commercial one. We own Hydro Teks and they have not failed us. Beth -
In case you are going to do a job yourselves or hire the cheapest guy in town, it helps to ask the right questions and to be sure all workers and people on your property are safe. This photo was taken by me, and happened on the roof of the garage behind our house. That is the pressure washer you see tied off to the chimney. NO machine ever belongs on a roof. Ever. Beth

Everyone who did NOT go, you missed a HUGE opportunity. Mark your calendars NOW for the Aug 12 & 13 2016, and sock away $20.00 a week to cover expenses. Then. GO. Beth
