Does citralic need to be kept wet to work?
Beth n Rod replied to gt2003's topic in DIY'ers - Ask The Pro's
I believe it says on the Citralic label to rinse.... We have always rinsed. Beth -
Nope. Don't plan to either. Beth

Yes...please DO add your signature. :) Beth

Does citralic need to be kept wet to work?
Beth n Rod replied to gt2003's topic in DIY'ers - Ask The Pro's
Daniel, Depends on the temps on the deck and the wood itself. For example, an ipe deck will dry more quickly than say...cedar will. Beth -
Replace all your brass QC's with stainless - get rid of your headaches. ;) Beth

Does citralic need to be kept wet to work?
Beth n Rod replied to gt2003's topic in DIY'ers - Ask The Pro's
Yes. Needs to be kept wet. If it begins to dry, you can mist it with water if you don't want it to get stronger. If you are not seeing any result yet, you can add more product. Beth -
If it were my site, I would change a few things.... not a fan of all caps - LOOKS LIKE YOU ARE YELLING not a fan of bunches of bold text - looks like another way to yell Use a consistent font. Use caps and bold sparingly and in specific areas, like your headlines, and your menu. Leave your main text normal. Beth :cup:

Stain id on cedar
Beth n Rod replied to CB works's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Some of the questions I ask are: Where was the product purchased? When was it installed? Who installed it? These questions lead into others which give me insight as to which product was used. From what I see and this is only speculation at this point is it could be Sikkens SRD. We have done some cedar sided houses with it and it looks quite similar. More pics would help along with the answer to at least the first question answered. Rod!~ -
We get our stainless fittings from ACR PRODUCTS and Delco Cleaning Systems of Fort Worth, Pressure Power Washers Beth :cup:

Stain id on cedar

Too little info to tell other than speculate at this point. I 2nd James Bruno's question...by today's standards, that is an absolutely unacceptable result. Rod!~ -
Old growth wood in the Caribbean

Check this out.... GROOVYSTUFF they offer furniture made from reclaimed lumber. Very cools stuff. Beth -
Chankanaab National Park is beautiful too! We spent a day there. Swam with the Dolphins. What fun!!! So how much butter do you suppose one needs to finish off a lobster that size? Beth

Hey Rick, do you suppose your snake guy is friends with either of these two guys? Beth

The water fall was in Puerto Rico, at El Junque rain forest. The next one with mainly ocean, was in St. Marten. The one withe the crab and the two with the colorful cabanas are on Princess's private island, Princess Cays in the Bahamas. There are some beautiful places down there, that's for sure! Beth

What do you like most and least about working outdoors? Beth :)
-
The most I like about working outdoors is getting away from those fluorescent lights. They make me sleepy. The least I like about working outdoors is the bee's. I'm allergic. When it comes to being up on a ladder and you find a nest or they are swarming from behind the siding or out of a roof pitch soffit and you have no way to run. Thought about doing the sliding down the ladder trick but with my luck I'd break something doing it. :headspin: Rod!~

Old growth wood in the Caribbean
Beth n Rod replied to RPetry's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
That is so cool. A few years ago we toured a rain forest in Puerto Rico. It was neat to see all the trees we don't see growing here around us. Beth -
Just asking in general. You guys probably have a little different season there. Around here, we are in the peak of our year. :)
