You could go to PumpTec directly but you will have at least a 3 week back order on anything. Tom tries to keep a good stock since he and Pete are the only distributors and trying to help shorten the wait. Rod!~ -

How does anyone really earn a bye....I have to say one of my pet peeves is misuse of the English language. But, I can't do too much about it, so I deal with it. Beth

Sometimes you just can't win. When in doubt, look it up. My mom was famous for making me look up words when I was a kid. Dictionary and Thesaurus - Merriam-Webster Online I'm not a perfect speller, but it helps to get into the habit of checking. Some people don't get unembarrassed by misspellings or grammar issues, some do. If a letter goes out, I personally feel it needs to be clean and free of errors. If that's not your area of strength, develop a few templates you can use in multiple situations or make sure your office help can write well. Speaking well is also important. When you are with a client, try to avoid slang, and speak in complete sentences. Presenting a professional image is a whole package, not just what is on paper. Just food for thought. :) Beth :groovy2:

Pealing Stain
Beth n Rod replied to tigerzak's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
There are products that will strip paint (so certainly should do the trick here). As for the gutters, sounds like the owner needs to get that taken care of first, since a persistent problem could continue to inhibit the life of the coating (or future coatings). Wood needs three things to rot - air (with proper temps), water (over 20%), food (cellulose of the wood). If the moisture is trapped beneath the peeling mess, it's got nowhere to go and rot can set in (seen it before). I would suggest stripping as much as you can off, so as to avoid this problem from returning. Not doing so is a discredit to the owner...just my opinion. Beth -
Neat logo. We had to consider when we developed our logo the readability of it on a moving vehicle. This is an impression we wanted to make sure was clear and easy to read. The highlights and changes in color for each word may get lost in a glance and be harder to read. Food for thought. Rod!~

How large will this be on the truck? How easy will Clean be to read in yellow against white (truck)? I like the logo. It will look great in print, on shirts etc.... Beth

Funny Homeowner Question Today
Beth n Rod replied to fireandrain's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
This is actually a very good question. Fire requires 3 components to exist [air - heat - fuel]. This is called the fire triangle. Take away one component and fire cannot exist. A bunched up rag holds air which is one point of the fire triangle The evaporation process of a voc creates heat. When contained in a small area such as a pocket of air in a rag, it accelerates the build up of heat until it reaches the ignition point. On a building or structure, the heat is allowed to dissipate because there is no containment. Without the heat to reach the ignition point, there can be no fire. :angryfire Rod!~ -

Call them back and have them send you a different sized bypass fitting. Your unloader is "cycling" and it is because the orifice of the bypass port is to large. To check this (advice given me by many others) take a pair of pliers and squeeze the line a little bit just after the unloader and it should stop cycling while you are doing this and resume once you let go.
