Stripping what looks like solid. Thompson's Product
Beth n Rod replied to PowerPlay's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Does anyone want to explain why the alcohol works to remove the acrylic but not the oil? ;) That might be useful too.... Beth :sunshine: :cup: :groovy3: -

Daniel, Thank you for the correction, being in a hurry does lend to some mistakes. The test will determine between an 'oil' and acrylic as Beth mentioned. Rod!~ -

I think the way it works, is the an oil will not budge, but the acrylic will....with the alcohol test. Beth -

use alcohol and a rag to test to see if it is acrylic or latex. Acrylic will come off with this test, latex will not. This narrows down what you are dealing with. Rod!~ -

Why do homeowners constantly how long a job will take?
Beth n Rod replied to plainpainter's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Also it is their property, they really do not know you, and they have the right to ask how long you will be on the premises. It can be disruptive to have someone on your property, and people just want their lives back. Beth -

Yesterday I got a piece of junk mail that caught my eye before it hit the trash....it was for professional growth and development. Turns out the company offers a wide variety of courses. I'm attaching links to the site and to the PDF they have. There is a zip code lookup at the top of the page so you can see what is offered in your area. Hope this is helpful to you!:) http://www.skillpath.com/index.html/RQ/1 http://www.skillpath.com/Brochures/Catalog.pdf Beth

FYI.... We bought this set of CD's and only one of the eight was a snoozer. SkillPath Seminars Bookstore - Management Essentials 8-audio cd program (4 cd's two discs per set) Worth getting in my opinion. Beth -

Advice on Very First ESTIMATES!!!!
Beth n Rod replied to NateF's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Dress well. Keep what you say to the basics. If you don't know the answer to a question, tell them you will get back to them, don't pull the answer out of thin air. Be polite. Thank them for their time when you are done. Beth -

We use both Osborne brushes and defelting pads depending on the job. Both are wonderful finishing tools. Beth :cup: -

Would you feel this way if you hired an unlicensed contractor because he was cheaper, got ripped off or had property damage and then learned that if you had hired a licensed one things would have been different? Just curious.... Beth
