Post con cleaning is pretty involving. They expect it to look new when all is done. Sometimes that isn't entirely possible due to other contractors on site who's work has left some residues or damage that cannot be reversed. One tip: Do not assume that a stain can be removed from any particular surface. The reason for this is that removing certain stains can create more damage than good. CYA because if you don't catch it...you get the blame and the charge back for it. Document and photograph the site and surfaces you are working on before and after. Rod!~

1st airless experience
Beth n Rod replied to CLASSICPW's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Oh come on Jamie.... If the tool works no one should laugh. Our first airless was a cheap Wagner designed for home owner use. Since then we have upgraded considerably. (Titans) If the tool saves you time and money it's a good thing! Congrats on getting an airless. You'll never look back. Are you going to the ACR event? Beth p.s. just realized how old this thread is...hope someone finds it useful. Hope to see you all at ACR! -
lol Carlos, Man, even when having fun your still thinking of work. Rod!~

One side house washes?
Beth n Rod replied to plainpainter's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Inquiries into a single sided house wash are a bit of a time waster because one spends a great deal of time on one person who has more questions to ask and wants to spend very little money with you, in my experience. Yeah, there are some that could only use a one side cleaning but it is not really worth my time to go there unless they are willing to make my minimum which is 2/3's of the whole cost to begin with. It takes the same amount of time to set up and break down so might as well take advantage of having me there to do the whole house. my .02 Rod!~ -

Doug, Go check out faux finishing at the Lowe's or Home depot. You can make nice money doing that too if you have the patience for it. Beth

In college I used to dress up and go over to this one friend's house - they had this old creepy house and it was decorated like it was out of Rocky Horror and a bunch of us used to scare the kids really good. Of course in the kitchen was some excellent food and of course...beer for the participants. We were all screamed hoarse by the end of the night. There were like a dozen of us. Beth

I really miss those days of going out trick or treating. It was fun. Of course, I supplemented those days later in life by dressing up and going out to clubs and having fun that way but getting all that candy was the most fun. Rod!~

Yeah, that was an amazing play. Several times I thought the ball carrier was going to get tackled but they kept it alive until they wore em down and scored. Lucky as heck if you ask me though. Rod!~

Wood-Tux out of vinyl siding?
Beth n Rod replied to ACSTravis's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
A little stripper will work...if you have some HD-80 (diluted), you can use it. Goof-Off works but can discolor siding. It's too late for degreaser, although a good degreaser works when it is wet. Beth -
seal or restore
Beth n Rod replied to Chappy's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Well, to me the most confusion comes from two words: Sealing Staining People don't understand the terms. I like simple things like wood care, deck care, deck restoration....then when you talk finishes get the sealing /staining thing sorted out. Beth -
Terry, I love your avatar! Beth
