To resize you would use a graphics program or photo editor. Simply change the dimensions to like....6x4.5 or so and it will work. Beth -

cwf uv5
Beth n Rod replied to jeffex11's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Let us know how it performs in a couple of years. The reason I ask is that the old CWF/UV used to color shift as it aged and could not be matched when performing maintenance coats if any had worn off, faded away from exposure etc. For this reason alone we do not use it. We are hopeful that the newer version will not have the same problems and provide better maintainability without the need to strip it every time. Rod!~ -
Thank you for the correction in terms. Could not remember what it was called exactly but had the same problem with mine in the past. There is a type of bushing inside the by-pass port on the k-7 unloader that proportions the flow to the unit and the orifice (as it was explained to me by the repairing tech) has to be the correct size or else it will cause cycling. He performed the same test by using plyers to squeeze the bypass line (I called it an inlet...meant to the pump) and showed me how it would stop. He then installed the old one out of the old unloader. He told me they rarely go bad unless you get some larger debris in there that wears out the orifice changing the size and then it would create the same problem again. Again...thanks for the correction. We appreciate getting the most correct information available posted for others to learn from. Rod!~

How Can THIS Be Good For Business ??
Beth n Rod replied to Apple Roof Cleaning's question in The Club House
The private sections are not indexed by the engines. If old data before they were privatized has been, when the link is clicked by a non-member they will get an error. Only the open areas are indexed. There are other things a non-member can't see either. I think ( would have to log out and check) the gallery and the water cooler are private as well. I know the images can't be viewed neither can attached documents. Beth -

What's your point Don? Yeah we do log homes, but we also do decks, houses, etc....stuff that falls under all those wonderful OPEN areas. Beth -

WTW tips

Nothing is perfect, NO sealer is. This is not either. But our customers just want something to last a little longer than the stuff the last guy installed. WT does that for us. Personally I do not care if it dries faster - I LIKE that. I do not care if it takes more finesse and skill to install it, we are supposed to be skilled enough to handle that, and we are. I do not want one single call about a tacky deck, or a deck that is spotty from an isolated shower that the doppler radar didn't even show that came thru 6 hours after it was put down. I do not want a call about pollen and leaves sticking to a tacky deck and you can't get them off. I want a fast curing product that takes skill to put down that holds up like a champ. Beth -

You need to change the orifice size in the inlet. If it is not the right size (use the old one) it will cause cycling. Rod!~

It's acrylic. HD alone is not as good on that particular finish, been there, done that. You need to either boost the HD, or use a true acrylic remover. We add the 633 ADD from ACR Products to our HD to remove tough things. Beth -

It occurs to me that when times are slow, perhaps it is wise to tap into your current client base and offer more services. It would be so easy to add driveway and walkway washing, and house washing...and pool apron washing. A quick mailer to your database offering these services would add to your bottom line without much effort at all. I know you guys clean roofs, just like we clean wood, but we don't just do decks, we do other wood items. So if you clean the mildew off of roofing, why not go ahead and clean mildew and algae off siding or pool aprons? Just makes sense. Beth -

Chris, The DYI'ers will always be DIY'ers. People who want to hire someone will not care about what is out there too much, and it can actually work in your favor. As for locking down the BBS so you can't see the forums, how would the other contractors find us then? This is a primary example of why we are so big on professionalism on these forums. It does no one any good if we all act like kids on any forum out there, your public will find you if they want to badly enough. Beth -

Boric acid works on insects that eat wood. Carpenter bees dig, but do not eat wood. Won't work. Try a shot of WD-40 in the holes to drown the bees that emerge from the eggs. Carpenter Bees, HYG-2074-06 Beth -
