  1. Clean Across America Thank You!

There is good and bad in everything. I have personally had both positive and negative expereinces. But...life is full of that too right? I may not like the drastic increase in dues, I might have been more willing to pay $50 more, but I'm not throwing in the towel on them either. Glad you enjoyed the article! :) Beth

Thanks for noticing Patrick, While the last few months have been so busy for us here my interest in this subject is still peaked. As you have noticed, no further posts have been offered on this one. I am all eye's! Rod!~

  7. What's your opinion...

Kevin, It's normal for cob to go in to the home, and if you were washing it would have been water. Get experts who do this regularly on your side. There is always, always, always intrusion. Count on it. Beth

  11. UK Teak clean & Seal

It's in the mix. We have products that give us results quickly so that the wash goes fast. Plus, we have a method to our madness and after doing literally hundreds of pieces of furniture, you come up with a method that helps you to get done quicker. I understand the lack of space may have impeded your progress. Rod!~
  12. What's your opinion...

That's a tough line and it's one that is too much hassle to dispute. I would replace the glass but the frame that was already a problem is their responsibility in my opinion. No it is not your responsibility to inspect the windows...your not a qualified home inspector. It is their property and it is their responsibility to make sure that their property is capable of withstanding the process in which they have hired you to perform. I always ask if they have any problems with the windows and doors with leaks in the past. If they say no, they are in essence acknowledging their property is sound. Rod!~

  16. How to give a cat a pill

http://www.funny2.com/pills.htm Giving Pets Pills A quick discussion on this delicate process. CATS: 1. Pick up cat and cradle it in the crook of your left arm, as if holding a baby. Position right forefinger and thumb on either side of cat's mouth and gently apply pressure to cheeks while holding pill in right hand. As cat opens mouth, pop pill into mouth. Allow cat to close mouth and swallow. 2. Retrieve pill from floor and cat from behind sofa. Cradle cat in left arm and repeat process. 3. Retrieve cat from bedroom and throw soggy pill away. 4. Take new pill from foil wrap, cradle cat in left arm holding rear paws tightly with left hand. Force jaws open and push pill to back of mouth with right forefinger. Hold mouth shut for a count of ten. 5. Retrieve pill from goldfish bowl and cat from top of wardrobe. Call partner from garden. 6. Kneel on floor with cat wedged firmly between knees. Hold front and rear paws. Ignore low growls emitted by cat. Get partner to hold head firmly with one hand while forcing wooden ruler into mouth. Drop pill down ruler and rub cat's throat vigorously. 7. Retrieve cat from curtain rail, get another pill from foil wrap. Make note to buy new ruler and repair curtains. Carefully sweep shattered figurines and vases from hearth and set to one side for gluing later. 8. Wrap cat in large towel and get partner to lie on cat with head just visible from below armpit. Put pill in end of drinking straw, force mouth open with pencil and blow down drinking straw. 9. Check label to make sure pill not harmful to humans, drink one beer to take taste away. Apply band-aid to partner's forearm and immediately remove blood from carpet with cold water and soap. 10. Retrieve cat from neighbor's shed. Get another pill. Open another beer. Place cat in cupboard and close door onto neck to leave head showing. Force mouth open with dessert spoon. Flick pill down throat with elastic band. 11. Fetch screwdriver from garage and put cupboard door back on hinges. Drink beer. Fetch bottle of scotch. Pour shot and drink. Apply cold compress to cheek and check records for date of last tetanus shot. Apply whiskey compress to cheek to disinfect. Toss back another shot. Throw tee-shirt away and fetch new one from bedroom. 12. Call fire department to retrieve the friggin' cat from tree across the road. Apologize to neighbor who crashed into fence while swerving to avoid cat. Take last pill from foil wrap. 13. Tie front paws to rear paws with garden twine and bind tightly to leg of dining room table. Find heavy-duty pruning loves from shed. Push pill into mouth followed by large piece of fillet steak. Be rough about it. Hold head vertically and pour 2 pints of water down throat to wash pill down. 14. Consume remainder of scotch. Get partner to drive you to emergency room, sit quietly while doctor stitches fingers and forearm and removes pill remnants from right eye. Stop at furniture shop on way home to pick out new table. 15. Arrange for Humane Society to collect mutant cat. Call local pet shop to see if they have hamsters. DOGS: 1. Wrap pill in bacon.
  17. need help finding tint

We're still looking for a supplier of trans-oxide pigments. None of the paint retailers use it in their tinting systems around here. All their Sikkens products come pre-tinted and are not customizable...so we are stuck. I had a few 5 gallon pails of California Redwood that I have been using as a supplement for making western cedar for our maintenance decks which their are quite a number of. Those are all but gone now and I have about 2 gallons of it left. I could use easily about 10-5 gal pails of California Redwood for tinting purposes to get me through all the Western Cedar maintenance decks that are due this coming year. If someone finds a tint supplier and quantity is a problem, lets talk and see if we can work something out that will help a bunch of us who need pigment. Rod!~
  18. UK Teak clean & Seal

Great looking work. We get these types done in about an hour for washing and around 2 hours for sealing including sanding. We use a pw'er which helps tremendously to get into all the nooks and crannies of teak furniture. Keep em coming. It's great to see your progress. Rod!~
  19. Are they wanting a solid installed? Cleaning it with a weaker stripping solution and resealing with the same product would work best and be more cost effective. Otherwise, in order to get any longevity out of a product you put over Sikkens you would need to prime it first then cover it with your customers alternate product choice. Sikkens is an alkyd oil based product so you can apply a latex over it but not an acrylic without priming. Cabot's Problem Solver makes a quick drying primer for this type of situation. Let me know if I covered the basics of your question and if you need more info, let your fingers do the talking. :lgkeyboar Rod!~
  20. Nice Work! Link this to your site if you haven't got them there already, these are great photos for a prospective customer to see before choosing you. Rod!~
