Henry's wife, Linda Bockman does run the store. They have invested very heavily in the store. Their daughter Nicole also works there. Henry often takes the phone calls. They were behide the cash register the day the store opened. Rod and I were there, stopped in to wish them luck with their new store. Beth -

IPE (hey beth or rod)
Beth n Rod replied to jnoden's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Also try, Brazilian hardwoods, Pau Lope' distributors for search terms. The jury is still out on A.T.O. since the VOC reformulations. So far, we have not been impressed and have used WTW instead on some jobs to get a comparison. Stay Tuned... Rod!~ -
Yes...you can. SunBrite is a TGS Vendor. Beth

IPE (hey beth or rod)
Beth n Rod replied to jnoden's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
ATO has gone downhill since the VOC changes that took place a bit over a year ago ( Jan 05). At this point I would try the WTW on it. Beth -
Celeste, Why if you hold it at the same place as last time, if Ron attends he might just be lucky enough to get to hear them slaughter the hogs next door. Gives you a real respect for fine southern BBQ! Yeeehaw! Ron, we aren't on a schedule. We'll hold it when we're ready... ;) Beth
-
I'm sure Ron would love an opportunity to visit with you. ;) Beth

Ron, As I said above, when we can set something up we will, right now we can't. Beth

Ron, We have begun discussions about a TGS round table event, but due to unforseen events it has been pushed back. We will let folks know when we plan to hold the event in the future. Thank you. Beth

We have hosted several events and also attended a few. They are both fun and educational, and are a great way to network. If you have not been to one it is a great way to spend a day! Beth

1st, check your fuel/water separator to make sure there is no water inside. Empty it if there is, this will be a cause of incomplete combustion. This can be done by loosening the spigot at the bottom and draining it into a container for disposal with your used oil. 2nd, Check your ignitors are working properly. If you are not getting a good spark, this can lead to incomplete combustion. Not a huge problem but nevertheless a problem that you can deal with. It's time to get acquainted with your burner. Rod!~

Glad to hear your child is going to get better. Reminds me of a time when I was around that age, a friend of mine and I were goofing around and taking stuff off a shelf (various pipe fittings and elbow joints) we wanted to climb and I was just chucking them over my head towards the ground behind me. Unbeknown to me, my friend decided to walk behind me for something and after chucking an elbow fitting I noticed it didn't make the same sound as the other pieces before had and turned to see why and saw my friend holding the top of his head grimacing. I quickly took him to his mom who sent me home and took him to the hospital. He got a number of stitches and we both got a scolding for doing what we were doing in the first place. When your'e a kid, stuff happens and fortunately, it didn't kill him. You must be going through some real worrying though. Head injuries can be dangerous as you may well already know. Hope the little guy is ok. Rod!~

stain on grass
Beth n Rod replied to garcii2's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Use a spray shield made from cardboard. This will give you a defined edge and help with the problem. There is bound to be some run off from the board if it is not wiped off frequently. We use 2 tarps and a shield, one tarp over the back of the fence, one on the ground on the side we are applying to. The shield comes in handy if you have any sideways breezes to keep them from carrying off the spray mist. Rod!~ -
Decker 5 Rebuild
Beth n Rod replied to sjpressurewashin's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
The cross on the valve goes to the bottom "out" flow direction. Refer to the pump manifold where it should have the direction of flow (IN - Out) One side will be with both the disk sides up and the opposite will be with both the cross side up. [in___+___+___in]<----from screen filter [out__O__O__out]=--->gun Rod!~ -

Silencing the air cooled engine
Beth n Rod replied to One Tough Pressure's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
Show your client the sheriffs shut down order and the time that you are allowed to operate and renegotiate the contract to account for the extra time and so forth. Trying to do anything other than putting the unit(s) into an enclosed trailer will obstruct the airflow which you are already aware is necessary to keep the engine cool. One quick thought is to contact the mfr and see if there is another muffler available to help quiet your unit. That is the most I can think you would be able to do without serious modifications. I believe the position being discussed here is the same position formerly held by Jack P. about a year ago, but with a different title. Beth -
TSP is now sold as a TSP 'substitute'. I hear it works all the same though. Instead of relying on the bleach to do the job, increasing the caustic range by adding TSP or even a degreaser like simple green can boost bleach's abilities. This among others you can find in a local hardware stores like Ames, HD, lowes etc... Hope this helps. Rod!~

Need advice concerning a solid stain deck recoating.
Beth n Rod replied to JamesonBlade's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
1. Clean it, and recoat the floors and rail caps which are probably all that need attention. Quick thought: Check the label to see if the mfr. recommends a primer 1st. Otherwise follow step 1. Rod!~ ps, we don't like solid stains either. They present a nightmare for those who purchase the property and don't like the color. -
Thank you Bill! :) Beth :sunshine: :groovy2:
