My new brochure and flyer - take a look!
Beth n Rod replied to Hydroservices's topic in Documents, Forms & Proofs
The word of the day is....sleazy. Beth :cup: on cup #1 :cup: -
Ron, TGS has more member traffic. TGS has more posts. TGS does check to make sure registrants fill out the info. TGS has signature rules in place as well as other rules. TGS upholds its rules. TGS is more professional. TGS is more state of the art. *** is still a great resource. But TGS ....we'll, it rocks and it IS #1. TGS support began with the MEMBERS wanting to give, not with the owners asking for support. There is a HUGE difference there. Have TGS Day! Beth :cup: p.s. new feature coming real soon......

Smoke fire and flood damage restoration companies do this type of work. You would have to pull back the carpet, apply your cleaners and scrub. Capture all the wash water with a wet vac. (wash rinse repeat) Once dry replace the carpet. Rod!~

ROTFLMAO.... Mike you are too funny.... Time for my coffee. :cup: Beth -
Mike, Beautiful numbers! :) Matt, Submitting a site to search engines will get you that extra little pop in activity. With all the new changes at *** I would not be surprised if site submission has taken place in the last 6 weeks or so. I have not done that here since last winter. Beth

Ron, Perhaps then could you explain the difference between "Daily Reach" and "Traffic Rank"? I don't think you and John are comparing the same things. This is the way we understand it According to Alexa; www.alexa.com/site/help/traffic_learn_more We all know your site has been around longer than TGS and that you are proud of it as you have every right to be in many ways. It's a nice site. Rod!~

Ron - I adjusted your font. Please don't make the text huge and bright like that. It read like you were yelling at everyone, and no one needs that. I know you didn't mean it to be that way. Beth

I have spent much of the day building it. Not sure when it will go live...check back soon! Beth

......and a new feature is coming really soon too!!! :dancing: Beth

Had a local competitor call and hound me pretty badly for information that was of the sort no one gives out to competition....needless to say he didn't get it. I will help anyone, and there are plenty of ways to help and guide a person, but some things...I do not share. I have approached local competitors many times and given them business cards and the URL to this site. If they choose to accept the olive branch, great. If not, oh well, they only hold themselves back. Beth :cup: no coffee was spilled while composing this post :cup:

Obviously: Price structure and employee wages. Not so obvious: Area we service and full range of services we offer. Not that one could not find these things out anyway. What bugs me is when competitors used to steal our proposal packets in order to do this. I guess the packet we left in a plastic door knob hanger was to difficult to get a quick peak into so they resorted to just taking it instead and we would get a call from the customer asking when we would be coming by after I had already been there and gone. This is another reason why we insist on getting in front of our customers or we will provide proposals by mail or email. Yeah, I am guilty of looking at competitors proposals left stuck in the door, but I never stooped to taking it to keep my competition from having a chance to be considered. To quote a favorite line from a movie "That's just mean!" What goes around comes around I always say. Rod!~

:dancing: TGS is number one. The lower the number, the higher your ranking. Best being #1.....Of those listed we're on top. And we're just getting better as we go.... ;) Working on another new item as we speak.... :groovy3: Beth :cup: p.s. TGS is owned by contractors, operated by contractors and supported by the industry it serves, in all aspects.

Earlier I spoke to Celeste and they were on flash flood warnings in their area.... Beth

Make up a feedback form. Leave it after each job. The form should thank the client for the business, and it should ask them a few simple questions and allow them to rate their experience. Leave a small space for them to write a testimonial. Hope this helps. Beth
