I guess it does look like a wand....But it also looks a little like an alien waiter who needs a drink on his tray. ;) Beth

A Float Tank on my unit serves the purpose of allowing the pump to draw at its own rate instead of being pressure fed by a supply line from a house or other hose bib. It is 3 gallons and has a float valve in it to shut off the water supply when full. It is also a buffer for those house supplies that do not meet the minimum gpm flow the pump needs to operate without cavitating from insufficient flow. The other larger capacity units are more commonly referred to as supply tanks which include a float valve. Some have 2 tanks, one which serves as a sediment tank which is filtered before feeding the main supply tank for reuse in the pw'er. These setups are used by those who reclaim their wash water and have some pretty impressive filtration systems including deionizers and water softeners. The uses can vary but most have these extensive filtration systems for use during auto washing and detailing as it allows them the benefit of water that doesn't leave spots on the vehicle. Rod!~

Welcome to TGS! Glad you found us. :) Beth

Wait until spring. Wash it and then follow the mfrs. directions. With the new VOC regulations affecting product formulations, the jury is out on what exactly to recommend for Ipe'. The reason being that there have been a number of mildew growth durability issues coming up and this makes for some hesitatancy in providing a recommendation at this time. Cabot Australian Timber oil was a product of choice but now we are exploring others and evaluating them since the changes and consumer feedback. Rod!~

We learned years ago that July and August were always slower than other warmer months. It's vacation season. We used to advertise in those months, and stopped when we realized there was a cycle. March, April, May, June, Sept, Oct - yes....July & Aug....nope. You might try to book people who are not in a rush into those months, book your "rush - I'm having a party" jobs in the earlier months. We have seen companies offer discounts for those two particular months. Hope this helps. Beth

We have allowed links to other BBS's since the day we went live. That has never changed. Thanks....I'll give Rod your best wishes. He can't walk on it now, and both the ankle and knee are swollen like grapefruits. Regarding standards, they are very high here yes. Higher than other BBS's out there.... ;) Beth

Most toilet bowl cleaners use phosphoric acid in a buffered gel base. You could try it at higher concentrations. I guess the first step is to identify the stain composition. Keep us posted on this comode caper. Rod!~

Anyone familiar with ABR products?
Beth n Rod replied to plainpainter's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Yeah, it's loaded with linseed oil too. At least thats the last formulation I used and it was promoted in their brochures. Their proclamation to the linseed oil being there to replace what was lost once the bark was removed. Rod!~ -

Anyone familiar with ABR products?
Beth n Rod replied to plainpainter's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
My guys revolted against the smell and swore to quit if I didn't change products because they hated having to wear the NIOSH Respirators. The customers also complained that the smell made it very undesirable to use their deck for in some cases up to 3 months after the application. I don't know if the formulation has changed since (been about 6 years ago) but I still wasn't impressed with the product then anyway. Take that for what it's worth as a point of consideration. I love that idea! Beth

I have never heard of him, but then again I'm sure there are many businesses I'm not aware of. Sorry, wish I could be more help. Maybe someone else knows of his business. Beth :cup: :sunshine:
