And into the toilet we go.... you guys are a hoot. Beth

do you have a micro mesh filter on the end of the inlet line? If so, check to see that it has not become clogged. If no filter, perhaps the line has something in it obstructing the flow. If that is not the problem, then your diaphram could be damaged. Rod!~

Wow....this is like a trip down memory lane. Beth

Hey I remember "Ron Marshall" ... I remember the feud between Dan Flynn and Ron. I remember Dan banning Ron from his BBS, when Ron started his own. Beth
-
Ron thank you. Than means a great deal to us coming from you. Don't ever sell yourself short on what you have done for us on the internet. For those who don't know Ron well, Ron ********** helped on PWN when Dan Flynn opened it up. Then Ron broke away and started his own BBS, which is ***. These were the first two VBulletin forums for power washing as far as I know. They set the standard so others could build from there. There are some other BBS's out there, and they too are good and have info worth reading. All sources are helpful. I stand by what I said. It's all of you here that have made this site what it is. it's the volunteers who moderate, it's the members who participate. All we do, is keep her running and keep her innovative. We could still do that, but if you were not a part of the community it simply wouldn't matter. We have all made this a community we can all be proud of, together. Beth :sunshine: :dancing:

Well, only one thing left to say..... GO STEELERS!!! Beth

Are you guys sure you don't need a license? If you read the print....if it says anywhere on there that you need a license to "apply paints or coatings" then for example, you may be able to wash, but not to seal. That's what hooks you in Maryland, because a "sealer" falls into that category. Also you are considered to be "improving" the home. For example here in Maryland, you can clean out a gutter with no MHIC licnese, but if you pick up a hammer to pound in a nail, you need a license. http://www.clsi.com/state_contractor_license_board.htm Beth

Thank you John. We're glad you like it here. This BBS is only as good as you guys all make it. Thank you all. Beth

Vinyl, magnetic, painted...they all get the best results if the vehicle is thoroughly cleaned. If you use magnetics, change the location periodically to avoid uneven photo degradation of the vehicles paint. Anyone else have any suggestions for the man? Rod!~

I wasn't going to start one either. Not my style. And we are overwhelmed at the response. You guys and gals rock. Beth

I like it Rich, Thanks for the link! :) I will try it along with the myriad of others. Rod!~

In Maryland, YES. MHIC ( Maryland Home Improvement Commission) Now I will say this...having an MHIC license has no bearing at all on skill. It has everything to do with being a business that is following all the legal guidelines of the state, and it means the Guarantee Fund that is there to protect consumers covers your work. However the fines if you are caught operating without one of these MHIC licenses, can be real stiff from what we have heard from others. Beth

Thank you Michael!

We usually take aside money for winter bill accounts in case the weather gets so bad that we cant wash for a few weeks out of the winter months. Having a nest egg for these kinds of situations has been helpful in the past when we got snowed in and could wash because of the below freezing temps. Cabin fever sure sucks though and no money can solve that syndrome unless you are planning a tropical vacation during the worst months. :island: Rod!~

Surface Cleaner maintenance
Beth n Rod replied to steffysmom's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
Order a replacement seal and ring kit for it. You will be glad you have one around when it goes out on you. Depending on how often you use it and if you reuse your wash water will dictate how often you will need to do rudimentary tasks like RLS mentioned and O'ring replacement on the hose and gun connections. The kit I mentioned should be used if you are experiencing rotation problems with the spray bar. (slowing down and speeding up) Rod!~ -
How many internet weather services do you use? We use 5 to gain a consensus report and avg out the possibilities of what they are all forecasting. www.accuweather.com www.weatherbug.com www.weather.com www.noaa.gov www.farmersalmanac.com Anyone have any other ones that have proved to be useful? I have to redo someone else' work
Beth n Rod replied to Adrian's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Quick tip: I use a paint mesh strainer to pour through as I fill the sprayer to avoid debris entering the bottle and soon into the tip. It takes a minute longer to do this but saves me much time in aggravation and repeated attempts to unclog the darn thing. :taz: Rod!~ ps, paper clips are such a cheap declogging tool too! ;) -
better pump??? AR / General
Beth n Rod replied to sflasealcoating's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
I really have been pleased with the Cat pump on my hydrotek. The other hydrotek has an AR pump on it and so far no problems. Rod!~
