  5. gpm or pressure????

gpm X psi = Cu (cleaning units) 8gpm X 3000psi = 24000 cu While this formula to me is arbitrary when most of us in residential are trying to lower our psi in order to avoid damage to the surfaces. In turn this allows for a better use of the higher gpms that are available in machines that pump 6+gpms if psi is not of that great an importance. Chems are being relied upon more to do the work and the higher gpms are speeding up the rinse process shortening job time. Overall, one must ask which is needed most in your area of work related surfaces being cleaned. For flat work, gpms & psi are important in order to obtain the best results. I hope this helps. Rod~
  6. Rich, I agree. We hope this is a step in the technology that will benefit us all. It sure does make some sense. Beth p.s. ....Check your PM's. ;)
  7. My new work yard..on the side of my house

Hey John, I have seen parking lots in DC that look just as tight with the double parking. I would fence it as you mentioned just for the sake of having a barrier to prevent anyone from helping themselves. Lance, yes he is! Public servant, self employed and married with children ta-boot! btw John, where do you get the energy? I bet you have a cabinet chock full of vitamins and supplements to keep you going. Rod~
  8. New PWNA website

I think it's just a facelift, with more pages added. I don't think they will take away from the content on the BBS. Beth

  12. My new work yard..on the side of my house

Looks good John. I can see why you want the gates. I think it is a great idea. ;) So long as the kids still have a playset in the yard somewhere...and knowing you as I do, I'm sure they do. ;) Beth
  13. gpm or pressure????

Personally, I think GPM is more important than PSI. What machines are you looking at?What kind of engines and unloaders do they have? Inquiring minds.... Beth :cup:
  14. Hey Rich, We had a similar expereince to you regarding RS. However, think about the parafinics (sic?) in general as moisturizers. We like them for that property. We have been Wood Tux users for three years now and our clients LOVE it. Adding a moisturizer in some cases before the WT on top will benefit the wood and add to longevity. Wood Tux does last well - real well. Beth

  18. next project

You probably should not guarantee it... But I'm sure it will help. You could also spray a neutralizer on it to help keep the caustic from effecting it regardless of the concentration. Beth
  19. The Blue Book

You can be listed in it for free, but the ads cost money. Beth
  20. Agent 86

I remember the cone of silence and the shoe phone. :) Beth
  21. How do you figure your hourly rate?

Does anyone figure a job in piece work format? Say for example that you would pay a worker by the job instead of by the hour? Rod~
  22. Repair charges

Our area has prices for labor that range from 45.00/hr + on top of materials. We also add in a base fee to account for the time spent to pick up the materials and deliver them to the site. Applying a stripper to new wood and then washing it opens up the pores and helps the color to go deeper than it normally would in new lumber. As Pete mentioned, it will not completely hide the differences in the wood but it will help to keep it from standing out so much. Rod~
  23. Need some advice

We do this all the time. Works for us. Beth
  24. Need Furniture?

Excellent idea! Ray, does he have a full color glossy catalog? He should get one done if not, and get it into the hands of interior designers. Also there are some nice boutique type stores tht carry home furnishings and upper end items. Those would be great targets. Beth
  25. Need Furniture?

Tell him to check this out. http://www.sugarloafcrafts.com/schedule.html I have been to this festival several times. GREAT crafts. It travels from state to state, and I will bet there are shows out west too, maybe by another crafts event company. I would look in to becoming an exhibitor if I were him. Beth
