College was wonderful, but I also enjoy reading on various topics for the sake of continuing education. Anyone have some good book titles to throw in here? Beth

Henry, from Beth I think you have misunderstood that this was a question. This is a playful thread. Please edit your last post #57 Thanks, Rod~

Then stop posting in the thread...sheesh. And talk about professional...your last post wasn't exactly nice. It is not unprofessional to put out a 'teaser' ad before you launch a product or service. Movie makers put out trailers to hook you months in advance. This is a form of advertising. It makes you want what you can't have - yet. Beth

Ahem? My my my we're getting impatient... If it is bugging you then forget about the thread for a while, and you'll know when it pops back up and - voila! As for pulling the thread....nope. Beth

Hey Ernie, Lurking is a cool thing, and you are more than welcome to do it here. However, we sure would enjoy hearing from you online. Either way, ENJOY! :) Beth

It just goes to show you...'ya know, you never know...'ya know?

Two tone or NOT two tone....
Beth n Rod replied to Beth n Rod's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Ryan, You are already onto the answer...pt wont matter, you will still end up getting a very nice looking result. CA treated wood is the one with the most problems as the stuff leaches out of the wood and does not come off easily, chemically. It appears as a vien like look of turquoise/white that can detract from the semitransparent finish you may apply. Sanding can help this condition... Rod~ -

1 suggestion out of experience, avoid the cuprinol. Use cabot solid color instead. It coats better and lasts longer. I have always wanted to do as you propose with your deck and stain it before assembly...but that can be really tedious and painstaking because the whole thing gets dirty as you are builing it. My suggestion, build it first and then stain. Rails 1st, horizontals last. Use 3M 2" blue masking tape and at least 4 mil plastic for your masking. #10 tarps for ground cover. (we use the biggest ones we can get our hands on...12x15. Rod~ -
Nope. Has nothing to do with PWNA, or an org.

This is an important topic this time of year... Beth

You don't know what it is...

Not it wasn't. If you are new, check the FAQ's up top. We are adding refeerence material, and there is more to come. Also see the library. By the way, WELCOME! We hope you enjoy yourself here. Please ask questions and know that professionals will respond. We all respect one another here. Beth

Nope. Besides, even if you call that a merger and say it means new future employees, it's not really a business thing....
-
Nope...that's not going to happen.

This thread has some great info in it. Beth

Protecting Things From Overspray
Beth n Rod replied to bfenne's question in Residential Pressure Washing
This is a must read for newbies. Good stuff! Beth -
This is the time of year that lots of folks reflect back upon the year that's ending and make a resolution or two. Most of them are fairly typical. Go to the gym more. Drop 20 lbs. Quit smoking. Quit eating ice cream by the gallon. Stop writing up estimates on 7/11 paper napkins. Get in the habit of returning phone calls. I used to make a list when I was a teenager and had time to do such things, but these days finding one solid resolution to aim for is good enough for me. I thought it might be fun to take a poll... you know, do you make resolutions YES, or NO. I thought it might also be fun to list what they are, provided they're not too personal. So if you're home, online and reading this, take a moment and reflect. Then, join the fun. Happy New Year! Beth :groovy3::bandplay:  :hat:

Not an org, but something beneficial to ALL....

What, you want a hint? Take a guess.

It is a business thing, but we're looking for a little participation here. Suspense...anticipation...we are very excited about it. We think you all will be too!
-
No, it's gonna two more pages of me asking you to guess... Alan had a good guess... but not the right guess. NEXT!

It's stricktly a business thing.... Come on and guess. Beth

So, do you want to guess?

Replacable vs durable
Beth n Rod posted a question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
What do you find breaks down or wears out most in this field? I find that sprayers are my biggest downtime creators. Rod~ -
If the deal closes by the convention they will have wonderful news to share with the members. It's a good thing! Beth
