  4. This year you will all be able to see Wood Tux Wet for yourselves. We have tested it. It works. We have not done a whole deck with it, but knowing what we know of Wood Tux, and what we know of the formulation of the wet product, it is brilliant. It is ahead of its time. Wood Tux will work wet or dry this year - Wood Tux has been improved. If you have used WT and liked it, you will like it even more. If you have been waiting, this might be a good time to try it. We have been excited about Extreme Solutions products for years. We began using the chems when they were still being formulated. We had no hesitation in using the sealer when it was introduced. The jobs we have used it on still look great. The whole product line is very well thought out and formulated. There are other products we like to seal with as well, but day in and day out, if we had a preference, Wood Tux is our product of choice. Beth :groovy3:

  6. In maryland, we seem to have a shortage of service centers for repairs on pw'ers. I have to drive to the next county to get work done. During the busy season, it is an hour travel time just to and from the center not to mention the time standing in line with all the other pw owners who need service. Anyone else have this problem? Rod~
  7. Repair Services

Just a little sarcasm about the repair service, I have a business to run and no time for that. Just comiserating about the lack of more 'quality' repair facilities around here. Rod~
  8. whats the difference?

Remember test will vary. We have extensive field time with Extreme Solutions product line and know what it will do inside and out, every time we need it. We have not found a product yet that can out perform HD-80. We have begun to use the F series, and did get very favorable results, but as Rod said.....Hurry up spring! Beth

Thanks :) Fast is a good thing. Beth
  10. whats the difference?

We can speak well to using HD-80 from our past experience with it. I havent found any sealer that it wont remove. I rarely need to use it any stronger than 6oz.(weight)/gal. As far as F-18 working better, I am still working on the dilution ratios to see what works best for what... As always, its never a bad thing to have them both in your arsenal. We have field tested HD-80, EFC-38 and Citralic for all our wood care needs and they have worked wonderfully. F-18, F-10 and F-08 are great products that we are happy to say are getting very good results. More to come on this as we continue our trials this season. (hurry up spring!) Rod~

  13. 300 Users and Growing

It's hard to say at this point how many we have. We have cleaned out the database a couple times, and the user count has been higher than 1,500 before. It's large, I'll say that. Beth
  14. Be4 you approach that hottie acrossed the bar...

    Rude and mean....and gross. Beth
  15. Replacable vs durable

The graveyard of sprayers, everyone seems to have had them. One thing or another breaking down or wearing out. No local supply for parts. You'd think some one would read this and  and then figure out a way to :lgmoneyey supply them?!? :hmmm: Vendors should be reading these boards, really! Rod~
  16. How much liability insurance do you carry?

    1 Million plus equipment. Rod~
  17. FAQ Feature

Please check out the FAQ feature. http://www.thegrimescene.com/forums/faq.php? We are still adding to it but it is off to a good start. If you have information you would like to contribute to the FAQ Area, please post the information in the appropriate forum and add "FAQ" to the thread title. All content submitted will be reviewed for accuracy prior to being posted in the FAQ area. A FAQ should be descriptive and factual. Beth & Rod:think:
  18. FAQ Feature

We have info on Wood Care and House Washing in the FAQ area as well. Also we have begun to add a Dictionary of Cleaning & Business terms. We will be adding Environmental FAQ's in the future as well. What else would you like to have at your fingertips? Beth & Rod
  19. Mixing Powdered Chemicals

The only other thing I would like to add would be PPE... Andy has pointed out a way that many mix in a 55 gallon drum using a powerwasher. Generally, you will start with about 5 gallons or more in the drum and then use their power washer lance to agitate the mix as they add hot water to it until full. Alan has another good way in that he is making sure that the product has not precipitated out of solution before adding it to his main batch. One thing to remember is that there is a saturation point. This means that the water cannot hold anything more in solution and the rest will precipitate out and form a sediment at the bottom of the container. Cold water has a lower saturation point than hot water. Andy, you have a few of us curious... Rod~

  21. Not really. There are many successful contractors who swear by Caobot's products... and the one day deck is a concept many would embrace for productivity reasons alone, provided the technology works. Beth
  22. Cabot's products are WONDEFUL. When they put it on the shelves, it will be worth looking at. There are one day deck formulas out there, and more on the way. Wood Tux is headed that direction also and we can't wait. Beth
  23. Welcome!

Hey John, Is it going to get any warmer up there this week? We are finally thawing here. Beth :groovy:
  24. getting rid of moss on wood siding

Got a photo? Usually when we see actual moss growing there is rot present. We had a deck we did, and you could have placed a golf ball on the top of th emoss mound and teed off! Press your fingers down onthe area and see how much give there is. If rot is there, you are facing a much bigger issue. Beth
  25. A short clip on Posting.

It is ALWAYS better to post in an existing thread than to start a new one. That was too funny... Beth :groovy3:
