I don't see your "good man" making public apologies to me about his comments or to Mr. Hinderliter who was also slighted. Let me be clear here. This forum does sell ad space yes. However NO ADVERTISER tells us how to run our forum, what to post, or has any influence on what goes on here. I am offended - HIGHLY - by the cracks made by your band of followers. You are supposed to be a leader. Yet I do not see you calling on then to knock it off. Which, in my eyes means you approve of it. Want to prove me wrong? do something about it. Otherwise, you too are welcome to LOG OUT! Beth

Perhaps if DOUG ********** had not trashed myself or this forum on YOUR BBS.....then he would still be here. I said before that I will consider what others say on other forums. I have a screen shot of it. Why should I have to put up with it Ron? Why should I have to take that from any of you? It goes on over on *** and you and your staff let it. You tell me we have an alliance, and will say only good things about each others forums and support them, and then you and your staff let that kind of thing happen. PROVE it!!! Why do you let it happen? Because he's one of your great guys? No more. And SHAME ON YOU for letting any of them carry on that way. Beth

Exoctic Hardwood Supplier
Beth n Rod replied to YVPW's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Have seen many woods on decks, not Balau. Furniture, yes to that with Balau. There is tons of ipe around here, and a fair bit of mahogany. (deck wise) Beth -

PWNA was ask to make another presentation at the MS4 Conference Regional 6
Beth n Rod replied to Jim Gamble's topic in PWNA News, Events, and Information
EVERYONE - STOP. If you need to call names, do it OFFLINE. Get on the phone, send an email, send a candy-gram I don't care. But NO ONE is to drag people through the mud online. LET IT GO. If you don't drop it, it is disrespectful not only to those you don't like here, but to those you DO like as well. Beth -

Attention Homeowner Lurkers :) We know you are out there. We know you have questions. We understand that you are here for one of two reasons: You are thinking about a DIY (Do It Yourself) project around your house You are thinking of hiring someone and want to do some research, with any luck you might find the contractor too... Welcome to The Grime Scene. This is a forum for contractors. These hard working Professionals are familiar with the ins and outs of what you are either thinking about doing yourself, or thinking about having done. This forum, Ask The Pro's, has been set up as a place (the only place on these forums) for homeowners to ask questions of the Pro's who have the answers you are looking for. Please respect that these folks make their livings doing what you are about to ask them how to do. Some will be glad to respond, some may not wish to respond. You may only get a partial answer. Please be up front with these professionals, if you have no interest in hiring anyone let them know up front. You may be surprised that you'll still get responses. Please note that profile information is required for homeowners too. To participate here, you can't hide. Beth & Rod

Ask The Pro's Guidelines - Users Please Read
Beth n Rod replied to Beth n Rod's topic in DIY'ers - Ask The Pro's
ADDED NOTE: Please, be respectful of the Professional's time. These small business owners work long hours, often 6 or 7 days a week during their busy season. We all understand that your project is important to you, but our time is sliced so many ways and we are pulled so many directions that it is extremely difficult to respond to every phone call, every email, and every post. And if by chance, you ask a question and find that one of us is not comfortable giving you an answer for whatever reason, please resist the urge to be rude and hang up in our ears if you call us. Not only are we under no obligation to help you, but it sure feels better to help a nice person than it does an a**hole who is disrespectful or judgmental. Beth -

2012 Sealer/Stain Poll - Which one(s) are you using this year?
Beth n Rod posted a question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Sorry folks, last year I didn't get the poll posted, it was suggested, but I never had time and those who suggested it must not have either. But it's a wild, wacky, wonderful new year in wood-care and we all have much to be thankful for. So as you plan your season, what product(s) are you using on decks? Why? Share your work. Show it off. you work hard, your customers are happy, the decks look awesome, tell us about it. These forums are open and homeowners love to look (and lurk) as much as you do. And now, to the much anticipated, long awaited, 2012 sealer/stain poll. Work well. And as I like to say... ROCK ON THAT WOOD! Beth -

Production Times Comparison

For our uses, it is an hour per man on the job, so if there are two men, and ten hours, it's five hours per guy. Beth
