  1. We stripped a HUGE deck... the last one of the season.... it was coated in an acrylic (BRIGHT RED) and very, very well intact. We got it off. The new owners were thrilled, since they were not very attached to that color when they bought the house. Beth
  2. Deck stripping can be a real challenge. When done well it is very rewarding. Done poorly and it is a disaster and can eat all of your profit in a heartbeat. Beth

  6. What is your favorite thing about the Holidays?

Somewhere around 6 or 7? Santa's beard made me a believer. that and the scissors next to it on the mantle. Beth
  7. What is your favorite thing about the Holidays?

My mom and my Uncle pulled a fast one on me when I was little. The year I started to question it, was the year my uncle slept on the sofa and cut some of Santa's beard off...got me for a couple more years..... Beth

We have ladders that look like that...... Beth
  16. That is just plain disrespectful to expose a contractor to that type of working situation and that being said, I would feel the same Adrian. Having excessive fecal matter on a deck is considered a hazmat situation and I would inform the HO to clean it up or I will not do the work. We are humans above all else and no one should be expected to deal with that except the owner themselves. I even had a big fight with my older brother who had a German Shepard. He tried to put me to task of cleaning up after it but I refused. It's not my animal. Mom stood behind me on this and was one of my rare victories. Rod!~
  17. Have not navigated holiday lights, but there are plenty of doggy presents up here year round. Ho ho ho. Beth
  18. MSDS Binders

We update our MSDS Binders and office folder every year. Each vehicle has a binder. They are a must have! Beth
  19. Black streaks on fence how do I remove them?

Is your pressure washer capable of producing hot water on demand, or did you wash with cold water was my question. Hot water cleans better. Beth
  20. Black streaks on fence how do I remove them?

It is in the paint. Even with a re-coat, they need to know it will very possibly return. If you do re-coat the fence, use a primer like Problem Solver as a coat before you apply more paint, and also add a mildewcide additive to the paint you apply. Beth p.s. if you didn't brush the fence when you washed it, try that too. Brushing can make a huge difference....Also what temperature was your water???
  21. Ok, the old thread for this is....well, just old. I thought I would redo the poll and see if anything has changed. So cast your vote for your favorite way to cook your turkey. Beth :dancing:
  22. Plane trouble

Poor leonardo, I bet he got a cramp in his wrist from all those autographs. Maybe we should give him a tax break, or a bailout? :D Rod!~
