  1. New Power Washing Season Coming

I have heard about sendjim recently. It has potentials in targeted mailing from the little I saw... Rod
  2. One residential machine??

We aren't roof cleaners by any stretch so I'll let others reading contribute to that question on consumption. I'm sure your 'stealth' approach will raise some questions from fellow roof cleaners though. They may be interested in how. Rod
  3. Tennis Court Cleaning

Rob Rose, Look into having a pool filling company bring in a truck. Obviously that costs but at least you will have a flow to keep up. We use them when well supplied homes can't keep up. It's in the verbiage that the customer pays for it directly (keeps us out of the transaction). The tanker trucks are usually 3500-4000gallons Haven't had to use the tanker trailers yet. (thankfully) Rod
  4. Tennis Court Cleaning

Bleach is going to help win this one out. I use a heavy duty degreaser/bleach combination to do the initial wash and for any remnant mildew stains we use a final bleach bath to finish it off and the thorough rinse. Surface cleaners will be a great benefit in completing the job if you aren't already using them. Rod
  5. One residential machine??

No Problem. We use a 5gal cubetainer to avoid spills when house washing. Personally, didn't care for the delay in DS'ing waiting for soap to fill/empty the line. Added to the time in my thinking but that's just me. Instant gratification eh? Keep in mind the hazards of a chem tank on a trailer and the hazmat issues/penalties if you are involved in an accident and have a spill. We all drive safely but there are those few who make driving on the road perilous at times as you may well know. Food for thought. Rod
  6. One residential machine??

There are those who use pumps for washing houses but many prefer either downstreaming or applying with an x-jet/m-jet or other injector system. My suggestion is you try both and see which works best for you regarding the equipment set up you have. Rod
  7. New Power Washing Season Coming

Largely, we have had great success with just our web site. Rod
  8. What happened to all the pressure washing forums?

Actually, there are settings that you can set yourself up to receive alerts and notifications on this bbs in particular. Most people have them turned off from when they registered because it would flood their email. Now, people don't mind because it isn't actually email but it is a message none the less. I guess the form of it makes some kind of difference. idk, potato/potahto :) Rod
  9. What happened to all the pressure washing forums?

Shame about FB taking over. There are no archival resources there. No way to search for a topic, search for a response from another thread. Nothing. Personally, I think it a waste. People used to complain about new posters coming on and asking the same old questions on the BBS's, now on FB they oblige for some reason as if it never was a problem. Rod
  10. Bluesman, Anyone in specific that you are referring to? Rod
  11. What happened to all the pressure washing forums?

Yes, there has been a trend in facebook posting. We found it hard to find anything once it passed in the feed and was unsearchable. To change your go into the drop down as you hover over your name, Go to account settings once in, you will see 'other settings' Go to 'edit profile' and you should be able to make your changes. If you still have any problems, contact us in a private message and Beth can go directly in to make the change for you. Rod
  12. Nice post. Looks like a variation of an m-5 which applies soap under pressure instead. But I am sure it has a place in a down-streamers application needs. Rod
  13. Welcome New Members! ..Introduce yourself

Your website should be your #1 means of advertising your business and getting your name out there. the majority of your customers these days will find you online. Beth
  14. Welcome New Members! ..Introduce yourself

Welcome Logan! Glad to have you. We have had tremendous success using our web site for business. Rod
  15. Hmmnn, I checked the PDF's of both and couldn't find much distinctive difference between a zk7 and k7 other than the flow/pressure ratings and the labeling. Any techies got an insight on this? Rod
  16. The choices at that price point are limited as you noticed. Rod
  17. We have used the whisper wash since 1999. Aluminum spray bars never rust. Changed them once. The swivel twice. Rod
  18. According to this chart: http://www.dixieproductsinc.com/nozzle-size-selection-chart You should get full flow. Rod
  19. PWNA Convention 2016! Don't miss this year's PWNA Convention in SC! Rod and I will be teaching the Wood Certification class, so for those of you who have thought about becoming certified but have not done it, we hope to see you there.
  20. Paul Rosen

I would not recommend using any type of polyurethane on an exterior surface. It will discolor, peel and become a bigger maintenance issue. Cedar is very soft comparably to other species and for the installation and purpose you have designated is going to be a frequent maintenance issue. The reason being is that it compacts very easily causing and this will lead to the breakdown of the wood fibers any coating is holding on to, to lose hold and begin the peeling and flaking. The walking traffic dirt (servers and patrons) and spills (food and drink etc) are going to get ground in to any exposed wood causing blemishes that will soon be irreversible. Most restaurants will use just an oil preservative with whatever color they decide and budget for cleaning based upon use and exposure. In retrospect, a hard wood would have made a good option for this purpose. Rod
  21. There are online calculators you may want to look into. Responsibid Service Titan Problem is that which you point out. Not always does the customer have the correct information to complete the form without discrepancy. Depends really on the type of service you are wanting to make available and you have to essentially come up with a price for them based upon certain criteria you define in the module. Rod
  22. Japan Drier has the recommendations on the can for use with most oil based products. I believe it is like 5oz/ max per 5 gallons. It goes a long way. One thing though...only add it to what you intend to apply. It keeps on working even in the can. This can cause the product in the pail to cure somewhat and become sluggy which would require running through a paint screen to get rid of the larger stuff and changes the composition of the stain. Rod
  23. Looks like Ipe. You can use penofin but it will need Japan drier added. Apply to saturation and remove all the excess with a rag. Put used rags in water bucket. If you apply Armstrong, same thing. Add Japan drier to expedite curing. In either case, this helps to get the furniture to a state where it can be used without fear of it getting on people clothes. 24. AC Amber

http://www.armclark.com/oil-based-wood-stains-and-products/hardwood-semi-transparent-oil-based-wood-stain.html Looks like it does on Mahogany. Beth
  25. AC Amber

One way to describe it is that it looks like Ipe when it was new vs mahogany which makes it look like it did when it was new and wet. Rod.
