UAMCC-What would it take for you to renew or Join the UAMCC?
Beth n Rod replied to Ron Musgraves's question in The Club House
Let's clear one thing up right here, and right now.... If anyone edits their own post here, neither I nor any mod has the power to change it back to what it was. The software doesn't work like that. If you edit your own post, your changes are your own and it will also say you edited it. In fact if ANYONE edits your post, any moderator, it will say who did it. Let me get this straight....you want those who already paid to see him as well as THOSE WHO DID NOT ATTEND, to cough up money to pay him now rather than over time because the org mishandled the money? Look, I understand that part of our annual dues go to the upcoming convention. I understand that if you choose to go further out of pocket to attend, it's a choice. But I do not think it is fair to ask members who chose NOT to go, to make a payment when they didn't have the benefit of attending to begin with. Put up a donations link if you want, but IMO it's not right to expect everyone to pay when not everyone attended. It's not non-profit yet, so it's not a write off either is it? Beth :cup: -

Here is the shot of the custom pantry, rod built it himself. I did the finishing work. He installed it. Cork drawer fronts were my idea, this was a real joint effort. But his skill and determination on the carpentry was amazing. Beth

So what is everyone doing this weekend? Many of us are snowed in. (our forecast ins now 20"-30"!!)Yesterday Rod and I went to both Lowe's and HD (because one store NEVER has it all) and we got more supplies to do DIY home improvement stuff. We have food, junk food for Sunday (GO SAINTS!!!!!) and movies. We have liquor for hot toddies inthe hot tub in the snow. How is everyone else spending their weekend? Beth

How many years have you been around? More than 3? If yes, nice start...GO BACK FARTHER! Get busy man, get busy! Beth -
It was amazing to me the number of both home owners and contractors in the box stores getting supplies for snowed in weekend projects! It was amazing. It was not all about ice melter and shovels. Home owners were getting lots of little stuff like a gallon or two of paint, and contractors were getting stuff like drywall, plywood, tiles, lumber....to do room renovation at home...themselves...sound familiar? Beth

Every so often you have to re-evaluate what is important. Sometimes trimming off the activities that tax and drain you, is enough, other times you need to just get away and recharge the batteries. We are doing home improvement stuff this winter, and while it is exhausting, it is rejuvenating because it is our house and satisfying - fun in it's own way. But, having said that, it's also time to save for the next vacation next year. ;) Beth

We had to cancel a home show that was this weekend. No one is going anywhere tomorrow around here. :( Oh well, we'll spend those marketing dollars on another activity! ;) Beth -

A bulletin board can be a help or a hindrance and requires a significant amount of time and money to manage. A good start imo is to have a site for the most pertinent information to be posted and updated as necessary to keep members and others who are interested informed. Rod!~
